strutwizard 05-04-2002 10:08 PM

I will have final pictures next week for everyone viewing. Steven has the first set on his car that were not painted with the two paint process for r & d purposes.

TOOLOWCIVIC 05-04-2002 10:25 PM

Are these struts better than KOnis. Will it ride like stock at a lower height?

mwwhonda 05-04-2002 11:57 PM

i belive that they are a modified stock damper.....so in turn, would provide improved ride quality with a lowering spring

Decamo 05-05-2002 12:11 AM

Thats pretty interesting. Please provide pics on a 2001 civic. Is it rebuidable? Why don't ppl make rebuildable shocks with different shock fluids? Like R/C cars.

lowonair 05-05-2002 12:23 AM

how much just for the front? how much shorter is the body from the stock units

CivicVTec 05-05-2002 12:46 AM

wait...if u just use the stock RSX shocks and without changing the valve then $600 is too much

<< Zinc plated thread built on strut body for use with adjusting nut used to raise and lower the car. >>

I already have H&R lowering springs now so that does mean I can lower the car more with your struts?A very tempting offer if it's height adjustable as what I have in mind.Pls provide more info, thx.

strutwizard 05-05-2002 01:49 AM

The case is shortened from 1 to 2 inches, it depends on what the customer needs for a specific use.

Yes, the oil can be changed to different types of oils, but they would need to be return for this type of work because

most people don't have the required equipment in their garage.

Yes, you can lower the car more with the struts when used in combo with lowering springs.

Cost on two fronts would be $400.00

WhosYoDadday85 05-05-2002 02:52 AM

So if I understand correctly, these are some struts?

If they are struts, do you guys have coilovers too? Or do you have like some kind of full coilover system going (maybe that's what this is...... )...clue me in :)

B390LU 05-05-2002 03:17 AM

Ok so my H&R drops the car about 1.5".How much lower can I go with the struts? The front set is $400 how about the rear ($599-$400=$199)?Thx

strutwizard 05-05-2002 10:24 AM

Yes, they are just like real coilovers, built on thread over the strut body with adjusting nut to raise and lower the car.

The height from 1 1/2 drop would be another 1 to 1 1/2 with the shortened ride height adjustable struts.

Yes the price for a complete set is 599.00

mohawkboom 05-05-2002 10:29 AM

Hey Strut Wizard,,,I'm from Montreal.. Need a guinnea pig sedan to work on .. and price is $599US What about $CAD?

strutwizard 05-05-2002 10:44 AM

Same price US and Cad. 599.00 plus shipping

mohawkboom 05-05-2002 10:50 AM

$599 Canadian dollars.. or $599 US dollars??

Decamo 05-05-2002 11:09 AM

If these struts lower the car by lowering the spring mounts doesn't that 'cause the spring rate to be way too soft at lowered height? What prevents it from bottoming out and riding on the bump stops?

RobearRacing 05-05-2002 01:50 PM

Strutwizard...PLEASE CALL ME!!!!

You know who I am..we need to talk man..

Rob:)

TOOLOWCIVIC 05-05-2002 02:37 PM

Hey Rob, are you going to sell them? IF so how much? Do you think they are better than KOnis?

TOOLOWCIVIC 05-05-2002 03:02 PM

Hey Strutwizard how much for the rear only and what kind of warranty do they have? Will they work with the ground control coilovers I already have? Do you have a website. How do I order them and will you accept Visa.

RobearRacing 05-05-2002 03:22 PM

TOOLOWCIVIC: E--mail me.

TOOLOWCIVIC 05-05-2002 03:56 PM

I sent you an email.

strutwizard 05-05-2002 10:34 PM

Do to the fact that the strut are shortened and the piston also, the spring maintains the required compression to work like the factory set up as far as bottoming out on the bump stops.

strutwizard 05-05-2002 10:36 PM

Its not required to use the ground control set up because the struts already have the adjusting sleeve and nut on them.

thanks

strutwizard 05-05-2002 10:38 PM

Sorry 599.00 U.S. I know the customs kills when receiving from the U.S.

strutwizard 05-05-2002 10:40 PM

The outside of the body is factory, but the internals are not the same when I finish with them. Disc changes and different types of oils are used.
