most preferred rim size for civic sedan between the 2, which size would you prefer based on looks (wheel gap) & performance? hey guys, i need some advice on choosing rims sizes. i drive an 04 sedan and i'm installing the eibach prokit. which tire size would accentuate with the springs better and not create a major gap or chances of rubbing. thanks bro-ski's |
Bro ski... I'll post up a pic on 17's! (just cus their new shots) This has been covered before tho... :repost: http://img360.imageshack.us/img360/8...acedout0cq.jpg http://img360.imageshack.us/img360/3797/carsig15ua.jpg 17 inch rims with a 4 inch drop on 215/45/17 Nito Neo Gens! bro ski |
17's look great, but 16's look good as well. i was debating this, but i have decided on 16's for my sedan because they are cheaper and still look great imo |
16's. anyway, do you have any pics of the rims in mind? |
^^ yeah I like mauls 16"'s..http://www.7thgencivic.com/forums/sh...21#post3861321 16"-18" looks nice imo. |
That Shit is HOT^^^^ 16's are a little easier to "spin" IMO |
i have a set of 18's with a 225/40/18 with eibach prokits as well but also using kyb agx's. in all honesty the 18's are too big. i think 17's are perfect but you will need a 215/45/17 to fill in the wheel well gap. i have about and inch now with the 18's and 225/40's so the 17's with 215/45's will be about the same. the pics that i have are already uploaded in the site so i cant repost them here but i do have pics in the clean 7thgens thread |
17 if you dont mind the more harsh ride compared to 16 (and more rubber). I chose 16 b/c my Civic was a daily driver and I'm in NYC so............. |
it all depends on the tire as well. you can get a similar size sidewall for the 16 as you can for the 17. so basically its down to what size do you like. i personally dont like bubly tires. i love the way a 215/45/17 looks just enough tire not too much rims or tire, but that is me :) |
18s mang.....with a small drop is all you need. but im gonna be tucking them soon with my d2 full coilovers i just got... http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y11...e/DSC00666.jpg http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y11...s/P1010004.jpg http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y11...ns/bd3dre2.jpg and thats with a 215/40/18 tire if you want better pics i can take better pics for you if you want. this is with the suspension im selling now...my tein s.techs with tokico blues and stock 02 upper mounts. |

^^ those si rims are 16s right? iuno, i know you have eibach prokit.. i just want the same drop as yours because honestly it looks real clean man. |
You have an 04 EX right? I'd keep the stock 15' rims and get some 205s later. If I had the chance I'd trade my 17s for some 04/05 EX rims anyday. Just noticed you are in GG...funny that I've never seen your car on the road before. |
