Hello fellow em2 lovers, i have a 01 civic dx that dies on me in the middle of driving.and.i get this check engine codeP1361 Camshaft Position (CMP) Sensor A (Top Dead Center (TDC) Sensor) Intermittent Interruption is this a hard job? Or an easy fix? Please help guys.

Should be #10. Looks like it's behind the timing belt and it could be a bit of a pain.

Hard is a relative term.

This happened to me a few years back. The service manual on Page 11-8 calls this code out as your Top Dead Center Sensor. There are some diagnostics you can do but basically they will just tell you that you either have a bad wire, bad ecu, or bad sensor. IMO it is most likely the 3rd.

If I remember right, the sensor costs about $60-70. You would have to pull the valve cover to remove the top timing cover. After that it is one bolt and you're back in business. I've highlighted the top timing cover on this pic and also the sensor location. The sensor is not shown in the pic but is on the list page for "Cylinder Head" item 10.

Best advice though - order a service manual if you don't have one.
