what is the best mechanical buffer in the 150 and under range? and how do you get the hard water marks off of your windows?

soonercivic might be able to help you with the buffer question, he knows his shit. But to get the hard water marks off the windows u need Clay Magic (Red) the red clay. Just work it with the lube, it'll come off.

^^ hes right on the windows. Another option is to try using a polish, sometimes, depending on severity that gets them off too. But try the clay first, use some quick detailer as lube. If its etched into the windows then its a lost cause, the cost of getting them out would be less than replacing the window. The best thing you can get would be the Porter Cable 7336. If they have lowes in your area, if they dont you can order it, they have it for 99 bucks. Thats what i use. The one at lowes is actually model number 7336SP and comes with a "polishing pad". All that pad is good for is removing wax. You can put a microfiber bonnet over it and it works great. Other than that you will probably need to invest in a backing plate and some pads. This is what i use http://meguiars.com/estore/product_d...em&sku=W-DAV99 You will also want to pick up a few extra pads because you will only want to use one product on each pad even after washing them. Also its nice to have a few extras in case you drop one or something. The link has 1 backing plate (all you need) and 2 W-8006 pads (polishing or using abrasives) and 1 W-9006 pad (applying wax). The nice thing about that system is that they use velcro backing plates so its easy to switch pads.

Could not agree more with sooner. I also suggest some nice plush MF towels for removing the product. I watched myself put hairline scratches when i was removing the product b/c i was using an ok towel. Your questions have been answered pretty much in full.... makes me feel this post is worthless. Listen to sooner.. he almost knows as much as me about detailing :rofl: :rofl:

^^ he said almost hahahaha jk. The towels are a must! The only time you use terry cloth towels is when cleaning metal parts (engine, suspension, etc.) Also you would benefit from using a high quality wash mit. Also a tip: remove your rims, use some degreaser on them to get them spotless and dry inside and out, and then use Meguiars NXT wax on them. The brake dust will just wipe or wash off and the water will bead up. Great for painted or polished rims.

The Porter Cable is by far the best bang for the buck!

Try clay for water spots and if that does not work try Poorboy's Professional Polish. It is a chemical polish that contains no abrasives.

You won't find a Porter Cable for under $150 though..

you can get one at home deport or lowe's under $100 US no problem.

Yup, the 7336SP is 99 bucks at Lowes.

buy the pc at lowes (around $100) and order a backing plate and some pads (at least three) and you'll be good to go. :tup:
