Installing countershaft & needle bearing; Did I do it right? Hi Civicforum, So I am doing a M/T rebuild because of the ISB issue, might as well rebuild the other bearing. The first photo is the OEM bearing on both countershaft, before I take it off, needle bearing clearance has little bit millimeter gap on it on the gear. https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.civ...22e1211a4.jpeg So second photos is when I installed new countershaft and needle bearings. https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.civ...9c52d920e.jpeg My question is, did I do it right on needle bearing (the 2nd one on the latter that touches the gear so much) will it scratched on the gear, do I need to worry about it? Search forum for "looking for a 7th gen manual for free" and go to the most recent pages and links in the thread Note most links lead to manuals that cover cars worldwide so be careful when looking for info make sure it really applies to your own car |

"), it should not do that. (fails a very basic rule of thumb: "is there enough clearance?") The race must be far enough away to not rub as the gear spins But You needed to be using a real service manual anyway, hope that helped I could not tell if maybe something got assembled upside down (a very real possibility) but that might be enough to cause a clearance issue like that |
