from LAC...(so i dont go off topic there)

"thanks bro, should be good....still debating on wether or not ot get that pully. I still have to buy my headers and exhaust that will run me about $1000"

do you already know what you're getting? I see headers in the classified section all the time for pretty decent prices...i bet you could find a HP or a Kamikaze for 250USD. As for exhaust i'm having mine done at Noyz boyz in April...if you dont have a shop already in mind we might be able to get a deal if we use the same shop.

The pulley should be worth the money...i'd love to be able to compare the UR and the DH as far as gains on the dyno.

BIG Jan 19, 2004 03:21 PM

I know I can get the HP header for like $300 CDN brand new, and I am also looking at the GReddy Evo 2 cat back exhaust. I'll need a high flow cat as well, so:

$600 for the GReddy
$300 for the HP
$200 for the high flow cat

$1100 plus taxes, I'll just stick with this for now, mayb a pully later.

CoupeStylz Jan 19, 2004 10:08 PM

Just ordered a DH pulley : ) Thanks Bruno.

Macfay Jan 19, 2004 10:45 PM

so..i'm the only person that has UR pulley...all you guys are getting the 6 ounces DH pulley...the DH will definitely out perform the UR...but will see on dyno...

Macfay Jan 19, 2004 10:46 PM

oh btw...I'm going to install the clutch and flywheel tomorrow...and will let you guys know how it performs...can't wait...

APRboy Jan 19, 2004 11:53 PM

Any time Jeff. It's definately worth the money. Macfay noticed a nice difference with the UR crank, so hopefully we should too with the DH. Macfay, good luck with the clutch and flywheel. Should help you a lot at the track. This summer is gonna be awesome. Hopefully, we'll have 7thgens in the 15s, and maybe 14s. Oh yeah baby!!!

definetly gunna be fun.

B- that sounds like a nice setup you got planned. What about the full HP header with highflow cat included...that'll end up cheaper than the 300+200 maybe.

Question for you guys cause i dont really know exhausts.....how many cats, and how many resonators does our car have????
Should i get a bigger resonator with my 2.25" piping or just bypass it totally?

BIG Jan 20, 2004 10:57 AM

I think our cars have one cat and one resonator. I could be wrong.

HP makes a header with a cat in it as well.....does it hav holes alreayd for the o2 sensor relocation? That would be mint if it does, I'll look into it

ya they have the full headers with cat included...but its only for the si...the exhaust that hooks up to it would have to be custom done to hook up right. For me, since i'm getting custom exhaust it wasnt really a problem but since you wanna get a pre-made setup it might be more worth while to just do what you said and get a highflow.

APRboy Jan 20, 2004 11:33 AM

Our cars do have one cat up top, and a resonator right after the muffler. I got rid of mine all together when i did my header and exhaust. Better flow, a bit louder, but nothing crazy. Rich, get rid of the resonator. It will be a lot better for you running juice. The less backpressure, the better.

02civic Jan 20, 2004 01:34 PM

someone told me it would sound like ass
you think it'll be alright?

Macfay Jan 20, 2004 02:41 PM

oh, it will be a lot louder if there isn't a resonator...

my car is still in the garage...oh man...

BIG Jan 20, 2004 03:01 PM

well the headers are for an Si and the cat back exhaust setup is also for an Si so it should just bolt together, I'll just have to extend the o2 sensors, correct?

BIG Jan 20, 2004 03:03 PM

thats if I get the headers with the built in cat

R1Style Jan 20, 2004 03:03 PM

Holy sh!t... everyone is getting the DH pully now. :D

Anyways, I called London Honda today and guess what they quoted me on the side skirts.... $650!!!! I don't know what to get now...

BIG Jan 20, 2004 03:06 PM

^^is that $650 painted and installed, or just for the skirt?

yes, and u will need to get the Si front sway bar, cuz it will rub against ur cat...

BIG Jan 20, 2004 03:20 PM

I already have the progress sway bar which is for an Si :D...so will that work?

Macfay Jan 20, 2004 03:49 PM

haha...that will definitely work...cool~

no good...my car has to stay overnight...don't know why take so long...

$650 for the side skirts painted... that's it. :_doh:

CoupeStylz Jan 20, 2004 08:27 PM

I will prolly need a new front sway bar for my setup, although my 'cat' is not nearly as fat as a real one, so I'm hoping it will clear the sway bar. I really need a rear one too, cause not having one sucks ass (stupid 01 LX! #$&@) Anyone have recommendations for deals on sway bars?

Macfay Jan 20, 2004 08:41 PM

use Progress or RSX-S OEM rear sway bar...
but 01 civic doesn't have rear endlinks, so you need to custom make or weld an 02 civic endlinks to the right place (like mine)...

I think progress comes with better endlinks too...

BIG Jan 20, 2004 10:39 PM

Jeff, go talk to Chris Butters at London Honda, he has a Progress Sway bar set...front and rear for dirt cheap! I have the Progress adapter kit which you'd have to buy sperately, but it is well worth it

How much does the front and rear sway generally run for?

Dennis 650 isn't so bad for sides that are painted unless you can get stuff painted really cheap.. My G5 sides were 550 alone. It's so crazy buying separate parts rather than a full body kit! Which sides are you interested in? I have one side from my Veloz kit and I tried pricing out the other side alone but I think they only come as a pair.. And as basic as they are, they were still pretty $$

how bout an 02simulator...that'll do the job

Macfay Jan 21, 2004 11:41 AM

got my car back...

all I can say is...WOW...

the new clutch engaging lots earlier than the stock, I almost stalled when I put into reverse...still getting used to it...just like learning how to drive a 5-spd few years ago...but should be okay after week or two....

the new flywheel...it revs LOTs quicker in "N"...I didn't really tried it in 1st gear...but after the car warmed up, I was in 2nd gear around 40km/h...then I full throttle in 2nd gear...once it reached 60(where the 2nd gear usually start after redline in 1st gear), I notice a different sound coming out...and I feel that the car really ran faster...but was up-hill...and I came back home...honda reset the ECU for me, so the full potential i will discover later on...and may be after I learn how to drive with the new clutch...

they actually took about 6 and 1/2 hours to finish it...original $450-460...after discount $402+tax...may still expensive...I also notice the alignment was off too...I asked the tech guy, he said it may be due to the subframe when they took off...and then the assistant manager discuss with the tech guy and came out to offer me a free alignment which will be done next tuesday...so i was...yeah...this is great!

APRboy Jan 21, 2004 12:33 PM

Awesome!!! You gotta take me for a spin in the spring time Macfay. Maybe down the track once at Sparta, lol!

02civic Jan 21, 2004 01:38 PM

nice :_beer:

wish i could afford a new flywheel with my clutch :hithead:
