I'm there Macfay. What time are you going? Anybody else wanna head down with me tommorow? Come on, hopefully Macfay will run in the 15s.

Macfay Jul 18, 2003 12:23 AM

i will be there at 7pm, need to have dinner with my gf first...

hopefully 15s...if not... :flush: $$$ just like that...

BIG Jul 18, 2003 09:34 AM

ahhhh, I waish I could go...totally, I have to work again, next friday forsure!

APRboy Jul 18, 2003 10:28 AM

Cool, i'll be there at 7.

02civic Jul 18, 2003 04:03 PM

i'd go but i've got the car on jackstands and the front bumper lying on the grass....or at least i would have that done by now if i wasnt so f--cking lazy.....its gunna be a busy weekend...

Macfay Jul 18, 2003 09:48 PM

my exhaust got some problems...it keeps knocking to something...probably the front sway bar again..or may be the hanger got lose during 1/4 mile......plus it doesn't seems to flow very well too...I need to get it back to honda and have them to take a look...

my 1/4 mile results were bad...the best was 16.406 @ 84.11...the worst was 17.097...
I was like wtf...very disappointed :shake:

02civic Jul 19, 2003 12:51 AM

ouch thats too bad...well hopefully you'll be back up and pushing up on the 15's in no time. Before the 26 would be nice

APRboy Jul 19, 2003 01:24 AM

Yeah, something is wrong Macfay. You can't put a header and hi flo cat on and get the same times or worse. Hope they find out the problem.

R1Style Jul 19, 2003 10:44 AM

Sh1t dude.... I hope it's something minor and you get your car fixed. I was hoping to read that you broke into the 15's.
Let us know what went wrong.

02civic Jul 19, 2003 11:31 AM

it may of just been a bad night weather wise....i cant remember how it was though. Your previos #'s were earlier in the year so maybe its just that the higher temps, greater humidity/thinner air, has bumped you down a bit. Adding a header and cat you'd think you'd be able to shave .5-.7 off of you time....that with a little practice and you'll get into the 15's.

Falcon Jul 19, 2003 12:30 PM

oh god.. it was VERY cold there... by the time bruno and i left, it mustve been 13 degrees..

how did that very last run go, macfay? (bruno and i were leaving.. and you said you were finished.. but then we saw you get back in line)

02civic Jul 19, 2003 02:24 PM

13 degrees eh....ya maybe theres an exhaust leek or something....

Macfay Jul 19, 2003 03:53 PM

oh the very last time...I put my silencer back on and wanna see what it will do...and I got 16.7...still slow......

um...shouldn't be the weather...the temp was cool...about 15degrees...
I was try to adjust the cam gear this morning...but I couldn't turn the gear after losing the 3 bolts...don't know why...
I made an appointment on tuesday...and ask them to take a look and retard the cam gear to 2 degrees...its now advanced to 4 degrees instead of 3 degrees like I said before...

actually after I installed the cam gear, I went to sparta...and did 16.2 to 16.3...

APRboy Jul 20, 2003 01:03 AM

It's probably your cam gears. I hope Westgate figures it out.

BIG Jul 21, 2003 10:05 AM

R1Style Jul 21, 2003 11:34 AM

Hey i was just over at Autosport the other day and they had some chrome engine loom. They only had it in 1/4 inch though. I think it was 12 bucks for 10 feet or something like that.

BIG Jul 22, 2003 10:10 AM

yeah I know...the chrome stuff is expensive

R1Style Jul 22, 2003 12:04 PM

Damn...I was just thinking we should have made a DIY for the Oil Cap Install. :_doh:

Anyways, Bruno... do you wanna get together some day and fix our front bumpers before the show on Aug 2nd?

02civic Jul 22, 2003 12:12 PM

whats wrong with your bumpers????

02civic Jul 22, 2003 12:14 PM

oh another thing bout that chrome loom...its only low grade plastic. A buddy of mine just did some braided stainless lines in his mustang....was like $150 for 10 feet or something like that....i think he said he needed 24 feet too!!!!

Macfay Jul 22, 2003 02:52 PM

finally got my car back...
cam set to retarded 2 degrees, change 4 ngk double platinum plugs...my old plugs were bad...i mean very bad...those were from the first day I got my car...hope it runs fine now...

02civic Jul 22, 2003 03:24 PM
