as much as i love ferrari i don't like that car

Grey 07-10-2002 11:39 PM

Way different than what I'm used to from Ferrari. I don't like it.

sspem2 07-10-2002 11:45 PM

the car is tight jsut the front is the front is 2 pointy.

Macko 07-10-2002 11:46 PM

They dipped too much into the F1 pool.....
Looks like it just came off the circuit
BTW isn't ENZO the founder's first name? Enzo Ferrari?

netcbc 07-11-2002 12:02 AM

IMO awesome

Explosivo 07-11-2002 12:29 AM

I don't know... I kind of like it. The point in the front reminds me a bit of the Corvette from like 1981 or so.

Snowman 07-11-2002 12:41 AM

It's pointy, but I love it.

ricerocket 07-11-2002 12:44 AM

i wouldn't mind having one..ithat thing must fly..any 1 have specs on that car?

Silver2k1Dood 07-11-2002 12:49 AM

I myself like the overall design philosophy but the side glass/flying buttress treatment just does not flow with the rest of the car, IMO...then again, I am no designer...

Edit: More pics and specs here!

bambuski 07-11-2002 01:01 AM

I like it:tup:

MikeyBoy 07-11-2002 01:40 AM

Looks a little too much like a sort of twisted Batmobile to me....

pbfoot 07-11-2002 01:57 AM

i think it kicks ass! everyone dreams of driving an F1 race car, this is pretty much it, or really close to it.:tup:

Hawk 07-11-2002 01:58 AM

its good from the front of the door back, it kinda looks like gonzo in the front. im sure it will fly though, and cost a WHOLE LOT!!

GTekCiViC 07-11-2002 02:08 AM

damn that car is NICEEEEEEEEE........... if i strap on sum rocket packs I can have myself a Bat Mobile hahahahahah

One day....... bye bye civic............ hello Italian car.......

rallyred2k1civic 07-11-2002 02:19 AM

I don't see how anyone can say they don't like it. In my opinion all Ferrari's are beautiful cars. I live in Tulsa, Oklahoma and I have seen one Ferrari, but I'm vacationing in Ft. Lauderdale and I was down at South Beach Miami in my uncle's 02 M5 and I raced one and he handed me my ass. I love all Ferrari's.

liquidblue 07-11-2002 02:30 AM

<drool> i want i want i want i want, that car is so beautiful, all you people who think it's ugly should put the crack pipe down and think again.</drool>

sweet car, but where's the clutch? what's the deal with ferrari and posche putting automatics in their exotics? i guess old retired folks need f1 and triptronic transmissions if they are to buy these cars

Silver2k1Dood 07-11-2002 06:36 AM

OOOOHH...I KNOW u didn't just call that an automatic...gonna hafta get ethnic on yo' a$$....J/K

Nah, man...that ain't no auto or manu-matic. That is a true electro-hydraulically controlled and actuated clutch-less manual, directly derived from the F1 car, BTW.

All this means you shift like you would any manual car, except instead of you pushing a pedal to actuate the clutch, a computer does it for you in like 10-15 milliseconds--it will even blip the throttle on downshifts so you can match revs perfectly and impress people w/ your mad driving skillz.:)

Porsche's version is a little slower but works on the same principles. I ain't rich so I have not had the chance to try these cars but averyone raves about the system...from racers to car mag writers to hot-shoe test pilots.

slikor 07-11-2002 10:55 AM

oh man...someone get the towel i think i just whizzed mah pants :) oh sweet lord, do you see how much friggin CF is on that sweet baby?! mmmmmmmmm daddy likes very much..my guess is it will cost about $600K easily.

civicdeveloper 07-11-2002 11:20 AM

"Nice car. How much does something like that go for?"
"More than you can afford pal. Ferrari."
"Smoke him."
"Nah, he's right, I'm just a broke, pretty, fag."

I'd take a 360 modena over that thing anyday.

Silver2k1Dood, FYI that pic is not just on the streets of Italy. That pic is taken directly in front of the Ferrari Museum in Modena, Italy. I know because I was there last Fall. Let me tell you something, you have not seen a true museum if you have yet to see the Ferrari Musuem. The display of automobiles inside is just amazing.... they have every kind of Ferrari ever built, and even some prototype engines. Also, outside, where that pic is taken, the air screams with a high pitch. It literally sounds like a car redlining at about 14. I asked what that sound was, and our tour guide says "Oh thats just the Ferrari testing strip 1 MILE AWAY They road test every Ferrari before sending them out."
I swear it sounded like a damn fighter plane. If anyone here as the means, I seriously recommend checking out the Ferrari musuem. It is amazing. BTW, when we left the museum there was a newer model all black Ferrari in the parking lot. A young Italian who looked about 30 jumped in squeeled out of the parking lot. I have never seen anything so beautiful in all my life.

OOOOH...I hate you...j/k:) You lucky dog...I went to Spain 2 years ago and had to cut the trip short, otherwise, Modena Italy and Ferraris had been a part of my original itinerary. I have to go back!! Can't die w/o seeing that now!!!

2k2civicballer 07-11-2002 06:58 PM
