Turbo on auto LX?

Would it be worth spending the money to get a turbo on an auto LX? If I did and got an upgraded torque converter (price anyone?) and ECU upgrade, I heard that I can get more out of it than a manual, is this true?

If anyone has info on this or can point me to a website that has something I can read on this topic, I would really aprreciate it.

Does anyone know how much of a difference I can expect with an upgraded torque converter. From what I've read, a regular TC is inefficient and that is why a manual is faster but an upgraded TC can be more efficient in power transfer than a manual.

BTW, the compression ratio on the LX is 9:1 isn't it?

If I were to go turbo, I was thinking iridium plugs with better coil packs and upgraded fuel pump, filter, pressure regulator, and fuel rails. Anything else?
