Thanks for the imagery. Excuse me while I pull a "crying game" and weep in the shower.

I'd stick a whole bunch of them on, because they're shiny!!!!

Excal 10-08-2004 09:16 AM

Not that this has anything to do with civics. But last week my mom came over and she was walking by my 1990 towncar. and she said it was a accident but i dont beileve her. She ripped my damn lincoln hood ornament off the front.

But ya I have a friend whos dad gots a 2k1 dx civic. And he ripped his dx emblem off and stuck a red SI emblem on there. It was more for jokes casue my friend has a 2k3 SI. But its been on there for like 6 months now.

Its pretty funny to me to see someone that rebadged there car. But thats just me.

I see them as reasonable, as long as they're still Honda! I mean, come on, I saw a VTEC powered Cavalier....

hey you never know they could have droped in a honda motor in there. :)

reasonable is if you stick with what you got. But if you got a stock dx or vp or whatever and you trying to put a type-r or SiR badge on there then come on. Thats just asking for jokes.

Mischieflts 10-08-2004 10:15 AM

hahah yeah, because honda motors=SO POWERFUL!!

Excal 10-08-2004 10:17 AM

I hate that too, i saw this 1998 civic black and slammed for sale and i decided i was going to pick it up for 2nd car because i noticed that it had Acura GSR rims and acura badges. So i go to the place and im like im interested in this car, so then im like its got a B18 swap in it right? The guys is like no, its a stock EX, WTF!!! why, why why would you do that, just cuz you got some GSR rims dont mean your an Acura.

On my 04 civic i debaged the whole car except the H on the back.

Changu-San 10-24-2004 06:57 PM

Talkin about badges i saw a 7thgen with a huge "H" today...that thing was huge! probly bout a foot wide an bout 1/2 foot tall...anyways that mofo was huge! oh, and its a honda H too.

PopcornPlaya 10-24-2004 07:58 PM

"Badges... we don't need no stinkin badges..." Sorry, I had to. BTW, all of mine are shaved. All of them but the "h" on the trunk and grille come off by pulling on them, it's double sided tape that holds them on (least here it's what they use). Once you get them off, just lightly buff with rubbing compound and then wax to remove the residue left by them, assuming there is any. I took mine off the day I bought my car, along with the pin stripes, so it wasn't much work to remove the residue, as it was pretty much non existant.

import2nr 10-24-2004 08:05 PM

my car is debadged, cept for the 'H' on the back.

besides that if i had an acura id put an 'H' on it :D

jturbolx 10-24-2004 08:27 PM

just do it clean and take all the badges of but the H thats what i did let people think what ever they want cause sure i have black miriors and no sun roof but doesn't mean its an lx/dx motor in it =)

bradfordtheguy 10-24-2004 10:11 PM

yeah, just shave em all off...however, if your civic's kinda old...don't. i just 'shaved' off the civic emblem off my 02, and it's real light where it was, and darker around, even after buffing and waxing...i'll just buy some more double sided tape and take care of that....oh well....but on a lighter note, i had a buddy in high school who was blessed with driving a chevy lumina...well, he started modding it up, bought a kit, muffler, and some nice ice. he decided to shave all his emblems off, and took the 'LUMINA' badge, cut the letters apart, and reversed it, spelling 'ANIMUL'...we all thought it was pretty cool, espicially since no one could tell it was a lumina, unless you looked real hard

Oh, and there's a new body style Mustang around here (not a GT, not a Mach-I, not a Cobra, nothing, just a plain mustang). It's green. The guy traced all of the body lines with gold paint. He filled in the "vents" on the side with yellow paint. He also used the yellow paint to fill in the letters "MUSTANG" on the rear bumper. There's an Autozone GT-R badge on the back of it, along with an autozone X-Racing badge on it. He even bought some of the green and black "leather" seat covers and matching steering wheel cover. Ugliest rustang EVAR! I want to leave a Rice ticket on it, but I haven't found one written in Spanish (no, I'm not racial profiling, the guy is Hispanic, and speaks no English). It's the most riced out domestic I have ever saw, and that says a lot, especially with the guy in the 80's Escort sporting the 100+ stickers/decals, including Spoon, and Nismo. Along with the piece of another bumper he attached to the stock one to create a "body kit". And the canards made from pieces of plastic from something he cut out.

i got a typical rice-wannabe car, i have red emblems in front and back because i like the color... red decals, a vtec badge <at least i'm not lying about my engine =)>, and i have a type-r badge in the front just because it came with the red emblems. i know it's not even close to type-r spec, but hey, it's just for fun. it's not as bad as a pic i saw on laughatrice.com where a ford truck put an 'H' emblem in front
