i didn't even think that was possible. but the engine bay is crazy.

blue03civic 06-13-2004 10:59 AM

wow that possible..how much power is that puttin out.. wouldnt it be a crazy amount?

CivicsRdBest 06-13-2004 11:32 AM

huh? How? WHY?!?

Jodster 06-13-2004 11:39 AM

Why not? If you have the money. And its AWD. Although I doubt it get traction.

white2K2EX 06-13-2004 11:58 AM

Why? To get midrange and high-end power. That's why. Motor Trend (or maybe it was Car and Driver) said you had to launch the STi at like 5500rpm or more to get a good launch. That's where all of the power is. A supercharger would get more power down low.

...and it's just sick.

chrisleecool 06-13-2004 01:14 PM

sick.....................

carbonrevo 06-13-2004 01:24 PM

Apparently you can

rijowysock 06-13-2004 04:13 PM

idk the supercharger shoots air in engine, turbo pulling out air.. the air would go thru soo fast....idk.. thats crazy

allmotor 06-13-2004 06:41 PM

wonder if someone has done that to a 7thgen

CuRiOuSfIsH 06-13-2004 07:01 PM

You know, there was an Integra that was turboed and supercharged. But I wouldnt say crazy HP b/c of the super charger b/c that turbo is so damn large already. I'm sure you can get more WHP from just proper management and a large turbo. They could have put the supercharger in b/c the turbo has way too much lag, resulting in better response. Or it could be all for show.......... but still.... awesome!

Guess it does... the only thing I can think of, is that both the supercharger and turbo is met at the intake side. Have the exhaust running the turbo and the belts running the supercharger.... and make a pipe with 2 areas where air can go in..... but I doubt it's that simple. Besides... no one has been able to crack the Sti computer anyhow.... well, atleast for the EJ25

you really don't want your engine to be unbalanced like that, its a definite no no. Probably like was mentioned before, some kind of frankenstein intake manifold.
