2004 TSX - 2004 Maxima or a 2004 jetta 1.8tT

:please: i recently totaled my civic...so i'm wondering what kind of car should i get....and i don't want

another civic because the back suspension is really bad....i was thinking of gettin a TSX or

maxima if you peeps have better suggestion under 30k......... :please:

scotty 01-28-2004 02:05 AM

wrx, but if you have to pick between the 2, id get the tsx

clownprince 01-28-2004 02:27 AM

if you're picking between the two i would say tsx, but for a couple extra g's you can get the 3.2 TL, definetly an awesome car.

guamcivic2k1 01-28-2004 02:53 AM

both nice cars, but i love how the tsx looks..so TSX

asvyper 01-28-2004 04:22 AM

TSX!!

cryption 01-28-2004 06:52 AM

yeah the TSX is both better quality and has more luxury then the max ... and I've never been a fan on nissan quality

viciousvolpe 01-28-2004 07:07 AM

get the evo rs or whatever it is..

RSXtypeIvtec 01-28-2004 07:22 AM

tsx

fraga 01-28-2004 07:36 AM

Out of those two, I would say TSX also...

DistinctiveBP 01-28-2004 08:34 AM

between those 2 the TSX!
or like scotty said the WRX!

Sarvic 01-28-2004 09:14 AM

TSX definitely!

jeepers2xxx 01-28-2004 09:24 AM

i also own a 2003 maxima besides my civic . get the max you wont be disapointed. the 3.5 has excellent power and very comfortable to drive

silverdevil 01-28-2004 09:32 AM

3.2 TL is much better than the Maxima and at around the same price.

MrWong 01-28-2004 09:48 AM

I would say tsx, however I too am thinking of selling the Civic. I am undecided between the Tsx and Is300

Civictuner04 01-28-2004 09:48 AM

TSX or TL

Either way u cant lose. I too hav never been a fan of Nissan's reliability.

CivicsRdBest 01-28-2004 10:04 AM

Hmm... I'm not a big fan of the interiors on Nissans... The engine is nice but I'm sure you want something spirted and fun, so I'll say go for the TSX.

CivicRookie 01-28-2004 10:17 AM

Definitely the TSX.

jeepers2xxx 01-28-2004 10:24 AM

i say take it for what its worth. im the owner of a maxima and no problems, very reliable, and plenty of horse power

Boilermaker1 01-28-2004 10:59 AM

I really think you need to be comparing the Maxima to the TL. The TSX doesn't really compare in size. You're looking at a 4 banger vs a pretty big V6... both of which are held very highly all over the world for their design and reliability. So I don't think you should have much issue with them.
The Maxima is going to be sporty-ish, they're fun to drive, but its a pretty big car. The TSX is probably going to be better for really messing around, so it depends what you're getting after.
I would put the new TL in this equation and if you're looking to stay under 30K, I have a feeling a Max is going to be pushing it. They've made them pretty expensive of recient.
.... and having about 350K on Nissans in the family, without ever having a major powertrain or critical functional issue, I'll vouch that nissans are pretty reliable cars.

JDog2001CivicEX 01-28-2004 11:47 AM

TSX, it just looks bad-ass

white2K2EX 01-28-2004 12:08 PM

The newest Maxima looks like ass. I'd go for the TSX out of the two. However, for about 30K, you could also get a standard WRX or an Evo VIII. Just some other things to think about...

CvC-v01 01-28-2004 04:38 PM

how about an IS 300 over a TSX

azure 01-28-2004 05:01 PM

Out of the two, I'd definately go for the TSX.

tinman 01-28-2004 05:19 PM

TSX all the way!
