the 2004 zo6 has a top speed of 180 mph compared to the older zo6 which had a top speed of 171. how is the nsx owned you ask , the nsx has a top speed of 175 and last time i checked does a14 second 1/4 compared to the 12 seconds of the zo6.

no im not trying to diss the nsx i love the car but it's in need of a v8/v10 and a price drop. i also have another question why did acura try to make the nsx look like it was a exotic yea it looks pimp but the perfromance is not cutting it.

z06 isnt ugly, nor is the NSX, both great cars, but price wise, id say yes, the z06 owned the nsx

IMO the NSX is not that pretty. I would take a Z06 over it any day.

so true a long time ago i posted a video of a viper doing some burnouts and everyone liked it and about 5 months ago i posted some pics of some guys viper that he modded very clean and ricers were like YUCK a domestic :screwy:

it seems alot of ricers have joined the site but we still have alot of members who are not idiots and love cars in general.

zo6 is a very nice car, I probably take that over an NSX too, but it would be cool to ride around in a NSX

Let's not forget NSX came out in 1992. Back in the days, it was really cheap too. And yes, it did spank the C4 Corvette at the time. With a 3.0L V6, might I add.

It's now 2003. Price has nearly trippled. Performance marginally increased.

NSX isn't a for sale car, really. Honda has no plans but to sell a handful per year.

i will take the z06 anyday but i like the nsx more, cuz z06 is much better for its price, and nsx is a low-mid 13s car stock

new NSX should be a V8 producing 400 HP :), should be :(

They're different cars made for different purposes being pushed at different target audiences.

explain man both cars handle great and have high top speeds its just the zo6 is faster and bottom line a better car.

why are you comparing a NSX to a ZO6? NSX could own a ZO6 at autoX and vise versa with drag racing.

1st of all the NSX has always been considered "The 1st Japanese Exotic" with Emphasis on "Exotic"

The ZO6 Chevrolet Corvette (there now that did'nt hurt a bit) is a Classic American Muscle Car in all of it's forms. Let's see 1953 I believe?

The improvements made to the 'vette over the last few years truly do show hope for American Muscle Cars (New Mustangs are Kinda Funky) if you caught the Car & Driver where they drove quite a few impressive autos ( I can't remember it all off-hand, I'm sure we could find it). the Z06 trully did hand them ALL their asses!

it's honda's own fault of not improving the car over the 10 years of it's life, it WAS a good car, back when it was first introduced. now it's a "old man" compare to all the other cars. let's see what the new nsx replacment looks like...

Yeah, Honda should have kept improving the NSX. Though I do wonder how a track race between an NSX-R and Z06 wuold be. Both great cars.... but 1 is exotic. Z06 is definately a hot hot car for the price. However, there are a few things that should be looked upon, like the fact that the NSX is HAND BUILT! I'm sure some of you will feel "bah, whats that gotta do with speed", well I think it's a matter of respect.

The NSX is an exotic car, the Z06 is not, there is a prestige to owning an nsx, just as there is with a Ferrari....

Stock R34 is really not that fast. And the new NSX-R could beat the GT-R Vspec 2 pretty badly on track.

i'd take a Z06 anyday. its pretty much my dream car. oh, honda people always forget about torque. also, for the price of a nsx, you could have a TT LPE Z06, running low low 11's or high high 10's

you people fail to see its not purely about acceleration or handling. its the connection between the driver and the car that matters.

Exactly. Everyone likes to regurgigate 1/4 mile, skidpad, etc. numbers from a magazine to determine which car is best. Problem is - you don't drive a car from behind a piece of paper.

Go on NSX-Prime and ask NSX owners why they like their cars. You'll learn a lot more from someone who has actually been behind the wheel of one, rather than someone who just spouts out #'s from Motor Trend or Autoweek.

But yet the people that "spout" out #'s have been behind the wheel.....thats why our rich friends at Honda Tuning and Motor Trend make so much $$$$. They get paid off the hizzo to inform consumers of performance characteristics by comparing select vehicles. Yes, you do make a connection with a car...every car you sit in. I get a semi when I ride in my buddy's Supra (760 wheel hp) and his turbo and bov are so loud you go freakin deaf. In a Geo metro your hoping not a single friend of yours see's you and in a NSX (or whatever your choice of car is) you connect by staining the seats with excitement saying look at me I'm cool now. No I haven't done that in my car. Numbers help people decide on what better buy their going to get. After that they "connect" or whatever you call it. I don't connect...i'm not dating my car....I hit the clutch, hit the gear, hit the gas and I'm GONE!!! and that's my .02....don't spend it all at once kids.

actually i still think the zo6 will beat it on the track

your looking at it in the wrong way. its like apples and oranges. Z06 is a damn fast car that is compared to vipers. NSX is way more refined car from suspension to shifting. I mean if you want seat of the pants power Z06 is a great car. But if you want an exotic car that can take corners and drive at high speeds comfortably then NSX is a great car.
