Whining noise Okay I need some advice, cause I've about lost it at this point.I have a 2009 honda civic dx 1.8 sedan. So I've got a whining noise coming from the belt drive.Im 100% sure it is coming from the belt drive region because once I took the belt off the noise stopped completely. Alternator is less than a year old, and just today I replaced the belt tensioner(with new belt) and I also replaced the A/C clutch because the pulley was seizing up and causing my belt to smoke while I was driving.Good new A/C works now,bad news is the noise is still there and I'm at a loss at this point. Anyone that has had any experience with this issue that could steer me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.thank you! |
Re: Whining noise Are you sure you haven't just overtightened the belt(s)? |

Re: Whining noise Take the belt back off and spin each pulley by hand. Which one makes noise? |
