Sorry to hear this man. Yeah, I thought you guys always dealt with that place too.

huyqvu 02-14-2003 11:40 PM

pretty much the owner dicked me around with my insurance and the repair. his excuse for the paint not sticking, "your car is a cheap piece of shiet." he also refuses to give me a receipt for the repairs. i will not support that business nor will i do any promoting for it.

as for the relationship with autowerks and vip are still the same. i dont really care much for vip collision anymore though. its a sad fact since they do have a skillful artist there, but the owner doesnt let him do much painting. but my beef with vip collision is not with the workers, only the owner sam. if you do need quality work though and you do have ur car worked on over there, request for mike. i respect mike's work because he takes pride in it. he doesnt finish a project just to be finish. he completes it when its perfect.

well if any of you need a body kit, there is a fiberglass octane kit in stock. i'll try to hook you guys up as much as i can to a certain extent. and i dont get any perks in bringing in business. just trying to be helpful.

tomo i hope ur satisfied with the price on the teins. you got a really good price on those. have fun with them.

Yeah, I was free todat until my danged hatch's distributor blew up. Looked like a M-80 went through it. So I got lucky and had it towed to Unleaded Racing and Tim fixed it with all new parts even new plugs and had me back on the road in 45 minutes :)

xHoteKx 02-16-2003 11:50 PM

slystad810 02-19-2003 12:13 AM

Whats up guys? I finally got my car last week. It's cool to see all u guys from the area! We should all get together soon, that would be cool. I'm gonna start really modding my car after spring break. I'm driving it down to Florida so I want it to keep the stock suspension on until then. I've got Goldlines on the way, and I'm gonna get some 18s after all the snow melts. I also want to get the Kaminari kit eventually. I'm in Warren, over by 11 & Schoenherr.

Peace
-Sean

Wazzzzzzzz up?????!?!?!?!?!?! This thread is quite. What gives? I know Tomo gives head but besides that.
Just busting nuts Tomo :)

huyqvu 02-22-2003 05:20 PM

some lady backed up into me about a month ago. cracked my new bumper and grill. well i have 2 choices

1. repair my old tsunami bumper, get it painted and grill painted for round 230 parts and labor
2. find an oem bumper, oem lip, and grill

the old tsunami bumper has a 5in tear and the guy said its simple to repair.

xHoteKx 02-23-2003 01:56 PM

well if that lady is paying, i'd go with choice 2. just so i wont have to drive around with repaired parts. i'd much rather have new parts on the car

MagicRacing18 02-24-2003 11:26 PM

Pretty quiet here. I was so excited about the nicer weather.. and then we get dumped on with more snow Damn Michigan. Oh well. My best friend just got a silver 2K3 so we have another one now. :) He is putting 19's on it. I'm trying to talk him out of it because of the D-town roads... what do you guys think? To big for our roads? Or no?

~nick~

xHoteKx 02-25-2003 06:08 AM

19s would be sweet as hell, but the rubber is going to be paperthin.. so it might not be too good of an idea considering how bad MI roads are. but if he wants to do it, to each his own i guess..

bobbyd 02-25-2003 08:13 AM

I am not a big fan of the big ol wheels so I am going to say no on the 19's. For one, they are going to ride like a brick and the car will not be fun to drive. Unless he is going for a trailer queen.

MagicRacing18 02-25-2003 10:28 AM

Having a tralier queen would be nice, but at 20 years old, I dont think he could fund it :) But he's a crazy kid so I'm thiinkin hes going ot get 19's anyways. He's all about just havin a sick ride.. as all of us are, but he's a big fan of wheels.

~nick~

xHoteKx 02-25-2003 03:07 PM

i think 17s work perfect on our cars.. 18 is max. 19 just looks too big IMO.

btw, where has Edgar been? i wanna do the exhaust swap:cry:

slystad810 02-25-2003 03:10 PM

19s are sweet but he is going to kick himself in the ass when all his rims are bent up. I had 215/25/18 on my old ride and I HATED it! I'm gonna go with 215/40/18 on my new rims, it will be a little better.

Motors anyone? Autowerks Motorsport is now importing motors from Japan. We are currently taking special orders on motors or front clips. If you are interested in ordering or have a special request call the shop to discuss pricing. Just mention that Huy from the msg board told you. Shaun will be the main contact for this deal.

Can you get the B&G coilover if so how much? and if i order the teins how fast will i get them that goes for the B&G's also what about a carbon fiber hood ?

STYLIN2K2 02-25-2003 06:42 PM

We have a good amount of 7thgen to have a good turnout for a meet...so im going to make it official for this season a 7thgen civic meet just need some feedback on a good day and time seems like most of use are close to Detroit we can keep it at flexivity like last year and make are tuesday night meets grow . so start spreading the news. ohh! thats Bobbys line...sorry Bobby. :_bow:

huyqvu 02-25-2003 06:47 PM

we currently dont carry b&g. teins take about a week to come, and right now its 1100+tax. right now we're looking into tokico because they have a coilover system and you can adjust dampening and rebound on it. oh and tein is due to release a cheaper version of the ss soon.

cf hoods go for about 500 and up depending on the style.

STYLIN2K2 02-25-2003 07:04 PM

what was the drop on the teins i might be in tomarrow to buy them im looking to get aleast a 2" drop

huyqvu 02-25-2003 07:11 PM

not sure on the drops. sold like 8 sets for 7thgens and didnt get a chance to install them on any car. tein does quote it at 1.8in. how low was ur drop tomo?

MagicRacing18 02-25-2003 07:29 PM

Ehh.. flex is a long drive. Maybe something right in Detroit somewhere. But I'd drive down there if it came to it. Or maybe stoney creek like xceedspeed's spring meet. That place is nice. Later
