1999 civic eld

I have a 1999 civic and the lights on the dash as well as headlights flicker. Alternator and battery test good. Is there a way to replace the ELD? Electric Load Distributor.

It's a load DETECTOR, and what is the problem?
Have you monitored voltage at the battery while this is happening? What are the readings (high and low)?

I have taken it to autozone and had the battery and alternator tested and both tested good. However the headlights and dashlights weren't flickering at the time. The problem is sometimes the headlights and dash lights flicker. Also the SRS light comes on.

Have you checked for codes in the SRS computer?
Have you checked for codes in the engine computer?
Have you done the test I suggested in my last reply?

The only test I've done is have the battery and alternator tested. Not sure how to check for codes. Or how to check hi and low voltage? Sorry but I'm new to this.

GO back to Autozone for checking for engine codes.
If there is no code related to the ELD, it's probably ok.

Search here for how to retrieve and read SRS codes.

Connect a volt meter. Drive around. Note normal voltage when everything is working right.
When you see the lights go dim, read the meter to see what the voltage is.
I want to know both.

Reason: What you see COULD be normal as the computer turns the alternator on and off. I just want to determine if what you see is abnormal.
