cel p0135 on 96 LX - pulled the code and got P0135 (02 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction) Bank 1 Sensor 1 (that would be the primary, right?) - idle was also rough (very low) when engine is hot - ive read some thread and some people is saying that the IACV is the problem - wanna make sure which one is the correct before replacing both (dont want to buy both :( |
Re: cel p0135 on 96 LX P0135 is for the heater circuit on the front O2 sensor. Low idle is probably a separate issue, but I'd say to fix the O2 sensor first since you know that's a problem and see what that does. |

Do you know what part #? Denso or ngk? Its the upstream, right? Upstream=primary=front=first=#1=pre-cat=upper=whatever. All indicate the same thing. Think about it. Checked densos website but it showing 2 upstream o2 sensors. One front, one rear. Or primary and secondary. Or...hell, refer to that list up there and figure up the rest of the names. |
Re: cel p0135 on 96 LX ok, i fixed idle problem issue.. my buddy cleaned the throttle body... now i need to buy the primary sensor.. found some in amazon.. DENSO 234-4099 = $34.54 NGK 24542 = $41.63 i checked my sensor and brand is Denso (i dont know if that is the original, bought the car used 7 yrs ago from a private seller) is it reliable than NGK? |
Re: cel p0135 on 96 LX If you already have a Denso in it now, I'd guess it was original and say to use the same brand again. |
Re: cel p0135 on 96 LX 1 Attachment(s) |
Re: cel p0135 on 96 LX Erm, that's real common. A cracked manifold is a separate problem. Replacement manifold alone will not fix the P0135. It (most likely) still needs a new front O2 sensor to fix the code. |

Re: cel p0135 on 96 LX did a research here.. maybe this is a temp fix? http://www.autozone.com/autozone/acc...er=515553_0_0_ http://contentinfo.autozone.com/znet...18003/image/3/ |
Re: cel p0135 on 96 LX What have you got to lose, maybe $10 if it doesn't work? I've never tried it, but go for it. I've heard others talk about brazing the cracks closed too. |
