Civic 01 ground wires Hi to all i need to know where is the ground wires for 01 honda civic I think there is one near to the radiator One under the fuse box One under the right head light If anyone know where is the other wires please help me Thanks |
Re: Civic 01 ground wires moved to correct subforum 1) battery to chassis (forward/under fuse box) 2) chassis (same point as #1) to tranny 3) chassis (upper radiator support) to engine (by upper radiator hose) Now, if you're just looking for wherever random ground bolts are (where they grounded out various electrical components from the factory), they're all over the place. There is, indeed, one of those below the passenger headlight. There's also one under the center console. Another behind the rear trim piece in the trunk. Probably a bunch of other places I haven't looked or have forgotten. The aforementioned list is the "big 3" people upgrade. |

The latter is false, you can safely connect the positive from the alternator directly to the positive on the battery. (It's recommended to add a fuse.) Just be careful, the positive pin on the alternator has a tendency to snap when trying to remove the nut. do you mean the negative line is the responsible about cut the charging and connect it back when the battery full ?? sorry im newbie in this field pls explain Thanks |
Re: Civic 01 ground wires It's necessary for the alternator to be charging the battery always, when the car is running. |

When I upgraded my alternator positive cable 4 years ago, I connected the cable directly from the alternator positive to battery positive. No electrical issues here, and I moved my battery to the trunk 2 years ago. Good luck with your project! :) Appreciated |
