sub doesnt work when balance is set all the way to the right i was playing around with my hu and noticed when i set my balance all the way to the right my subwoofer doesnt work. i did it to the left and it worked. i also tried it with the fader and it worked. what could the problem be? |
Re: sub doesnt work when balance is set all the way to the right Could be a bad channel on either the deck or the subs. It could be bad RCAs or that the RCAs are not plugged in on one end or the other. Depending on how things are wired up it might even be a bad voice coil on a DVC (seems unlikely though). What kind of equipment do you have? Can you check RCAs are plugged in solidly everywhere, maybe try swapping left & right RCAs at the amp and seeing if that makes it so it only works balanced to the right. |
Re: sub doesnt work when balance is set all the way to the right i think it's just a cheap design on the deck where if you configure the sub outs to mono mode, the deck just sends the right channel to both sub-out RCA's |
Re: sub doesnt work when balance is set all the way to the right its an alpine hu. still havent gotten a chance to play around with the cables. doesnt really bother me much since the balance is always set at the center anyway |
Re: sub doesnt work when balance is set all the way to the right 1 sub or 2? 1 RCA cable or 2 (single or stereo cable)? |
