Where do you mount your amps? I got a small Rockford Fosgate 250m amp and I don't know where to put it. I was going to just screw it to the back of the seat in the trunk, but the supports in the seat aren't large enough to take a screw. I don't want to mount it to the box and not into building a custom setup right now. |
unzip the bottom of the seat on the side facing the trunk, you'll be able to slide a piece of wood under there allowing you to fasten anything you want onto the seat back. |
^^ what he said Somebody made a DIY on this a while back, $1,000,000 dollars to anybody who finds it for me |
I'll try that with the wood, but I couldn't find the DIY. The search function on this site sucks hard, it ORs search words together instead of AND. Thanks guys! |
i know tons of friends that mount their amps on the back of the rear seats as well |

I copied diskreet's idea and have loved it ever since. it was totally worth it |
glad i helped people! as for DeX your question.. I cut a piece of wood, carpeted the wood, and screwed it into place. I didnt put it behind the existing carpet. The car's existing carpet was glued onto the already carpeted wood and then the amp covers where it lines up. so i cut a section of the original carpet but you don't have to. works either way. |

My amp is fits perfectly right on top of the spare tire without getting in the way of the trunk floorboard. No one suspects I even have an amp because they cant see it. |
glad you guys are using my DIY's. That why I wrote them. PM me if/when you have questions. If I am home ill usually respond within hours. If not I am usually checking my email at least by 11PM that night. |
Here's where I mounted my amp just to give u an idea  http://www.7thgencivic.com/memberrid..._wires-med.jpg |

on back of the subwoofer box when i had my setup. same with my gfs setup now. she runs 2 10s MTX with a 800 watt amp thats mounted on back of box. |
Hidden in the tire compartment, bolted on wood plaque. http://memimage.cardomain.net/member...68_38_full.jpg |
The real deal, no photoshopping. Piece of wood bolted to rear seat, and amp bolted to the piece of wood. Wires run inside of the seat. http://www3.sympatico.ca/phuvong/system2.jpg |
its pretty obvious the back or truck , i recomend back seat... |
my favorite spot is bolted to the underside of the rear deck. you can get aluminum spacers and long screws from home depot. even mechine screws, if you insist. |
back of my sub box, maybe i'll move it to the back seat later |
for those who dont want to take the trouble of bolting it to a board, you can always just ziptie it to the mesh. after the ties are tightened, you cna poke the ugly head into the backsideof the seat. you never see the uglyness. or if you have nimble hands, you can take the seatback inside and pull it tight inside the structure. |
