Cd Player Stopped Working

I have a Pioneer DEH-X3500UI http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PU...rs/DEH-X3500UI I turned on the car and everything was working fine until I turned up the volume and suddenly the unit shuts off. Checked all fuses and they are fine. Wondering what caused this to happen and how/if it can be fixed. Thanks.

Dead to the world, no lights or anything?

If you used the stock wiring, check
fuse 23 in the dash and
fuse 32 in the engine compartment.

Check the fuse either in the back of the radio or in its wiring, if equipped.

Disconnect the battery for several minutes, as a reboot?

Checked the fuses and rewired the entire unit. Used a multimeter to test for power output to the stereo and I'm getting a steady 12.5v. Doesn't make any sense to me :(

So what? No power / no display at all?

Is the wiring cut and spliced into the car or was a conversion wiring harness used?

There should be 2x12v in 1 for constant power, 1 for accessory power. Check and make sure there's a proper ground connection.

2 Attachment(s)
Edit: Apparently I overlooked a fuse under the hood. 5A fuse blown where there should be a 7.5A fuse... Works now. Attachment 91765 Second fuse to the right on top.

Good ground connection and fuses. Completely dead stereo. Checked the constant 12v and it's not getting power, only when switched on. I had a 64GB USB flash drive plugged in at the time, but I don't think that contributes to the issue.
