It all depends on the setup. Are you going to be using the same exact amp and the same exact subwoofers? And if you are going to run two amps are you going to adjust the settings exactly the same? If you answered YES to these questions, then NO it won't sound "uneven".

You will also have to daisy chain the amps if possible so they will be using the same audio signal...in other words, dont connect one to the "front" rca outputs on your headunit and one to the "rear" rca outs, unless you are running everything perfectly balanced. It helps if your amps have an rca out on them and are able to daisy chain.

Does your headunit only have 1 output? I mean, I guess you could use y cables, but you run the chance of picking up interference (more connections usually equals more of a chance for signal degredation/loss). Do you really need to amp each 10 with its own power source? People tend to think they need to throw massive amounts of power at subs when they really need only just a little. What exactly are you running (subs and amps)?

Re: 2 10's with 1 amp for each?

go with the two channel... the MTX TA7402... it's more bang for you buck... and it makes wiring a whole lot easier... if you get both the amps then you have to get a wiring kit for the two amps with distributors and more wiring... making it more of a pain in the ass than you want.. and from the looks of it the mono channel amp pushes a really good amount of power on it's own so you might not even need all the power... 300 RMS max... so if you split that between two subs that's 150 RMS and that's more than enough power... unless you plan on replacing your glass windows with plexiglass so they don't shatter... i would say forget the two channel amp and just get the mono channel amp...
