Need help making my Civic postal delivery friendly! Hi everyone. I just found this site so I apologize if this is in the wrong place. I was recently hired to be a rural mail carrier for USPS. I'll be driving my own car on the route. Since it is NOT a right hand drive vehicle, I'll be required to sit in the middle and drive with my left foot/hand. Sounds crazy but thats what everyone does apparently. Of course, as I'm sure everyone knows, my 2005 Civic has a center console that makes this almost impossible. I've been desperately searching for a cheap beater car with a bench seat but have had no luck. Now I have two days to figure out how to remove the center console from my car and make this work. It's a pretty solid job and I would really like to stick it out. Any help would be appreciated. I am not car savvy at all but I can follow directions! Thanks everyone! |
Re: Need help making my Civic postal delivery friendly! Moved to general 7th Gen Civic subforum. Haha or you could run your route backwards! The console shouldn't be held on by more than a few screws... the problem is that everything including the cup holders will be removed too! Maybe you could do some careful cutting? BTW, a DIY removal is here: https://www.civicforums.com/forums/1...r-console.html |
