Lmao, those were good...

It improves the efficiency of the engine by changing the camshaft profile. You can read about it here:

Re: vtec

I read it but my "vtech" drives and feels like any other 4 cyl car. How do i know if my vtec is working?

Re: vtec

You can hear it activate if you listen to the engine. Your VTEC switchover is at 4500rpm so when you get close to that listen for a change in the engine pitch. I don't have VTEC in my 01 but I could feel it a little in my old Accord and more in my dads Prelude.

I'm thinking you won't feel much with the D17.

whoa doesn't v-tec kick in at 3200

Re: vtec

I could have a faulty vtec....no 4500rpm nor 3200 "feel". :russian:

if you have a 7thgen, you're not really gonna feel it, if you do at all.

When I start to fall asleep, I know my VTEC kicked in.

Why?
My 7th gen chair starts rocking me to sleep. ;)
