Head unit and central locking

Hi all.. I need help please.

I have an 8th generation honda civic and was casually driving listening to my stereo when all of a sudden it loses power!!

I have checked all fuses and they are fine, then I notice my central locking won't work... I can manually lock the doors but not when pressing the open and lock button on the key..

Again I checked all fuses with where fine and then went to pop in onto diagnosis but then realised the port it not working!!!

Any ideas please

Check all fuses in both fuse boxes. At least one will be found blown.
Then you may need to figure out what caused fuse(s) to blow.

Re: Head unit and central locking

Fuse 23 in the engine compartment fuse box supplies power for the data link connector and several other things including the radio.... Is there battery power on both sides of that fuse? (using the test tabs on top of the fuse)

That circuit passes from the engine compartment fuse box, through a couple harnesses and the dash fuse box and dash junction box before reaching the radio and DLC, there could be loose harness connectors in any of the units mentioned.

Wait....Your info says you are in GB? My info is for North American cars, so this may not be accurate for your car.
You may need a wiring diagram that is for your specific car, and some testing.
