Comlpete a rear break pad replacement Comlpete a rear break pad replacement Installed new rear break pads on a 2009 LX-S and now for some reason my e-break I have to pull all the way up almost to max to engage vs only a few inches before I replaced the pads. Is there an adjustment I missed or ????? |
Re: Comlpete a rear break pad replacement What method did you use to make the pistons retract? How did you align the "cross" in the pistons prior to installation? (position, not method) |

(position, not method) I just turned the piston inward wit a large screwdriver. I then installed the pads and the was it. I did noticed 3 pins on the pads thought nothing more. Was I supposed to align the pins to the slots on the pads ???? |
Re: Comlpete a rear break pad replacement Was I supposed to align the pins to the slots on the pads ???? If you don't align the slot with the pin, then the piston will push on the pin at the top-center of the brake pad and cause the pad to wear at an ugly angle. And it can wear the rotor at an ugly angle as well if you leave it that way too long. HTH |
