E3 spark plug change? Hello, I tried to do what I thought was an easy DIY - change the sparkplugs in my 2006 Civic EX. I have 94,000 Kms. I thought I would try the E3 plugs, and see that E3.48 are for the 1.8 L Civic. I remove the old plugs, look decent enough. I install the new E3s, but when I pop the plug caps on, they go on rather easy, the old plugs had a very snug fit (they also had a lot of goop on them - what is that?). Since the plug caps are bolted down, are these plugs ok if they are not real snug in the plug caps ? The engine started up ok, so I am just wondering. thanks DaveT |
Re: E3 spark plug change? fist get rid off those garbage plugs there all gimmick and not well made there designed for lawn mowers which honestly is not far from a civic engine . get DENSO or NGK. and that gunk is dielectric grease. |
