illuminated toggle switch oook, i'm wiring my fogs to an illuminated switch [had regular switch before] and it asks for a "power, ground, and load" and right now i only got the power (+)and ground (-) wtf is load? |
power is whatever your getting your power from, load is the fogs (in your situation), and ground is ground. |
Thanks for quick reply:sweet: |
ya one wire is coming from battery to switch (power), then another from switch to power wire of device (load), then a ground to make the illumination work (ground). the switch will still work with no ground, it just wont light up. |
finally got around to doing it, thanks a lot, works perfect now so basically one prong powers the switch and one powers the fogs? |
when you turn on the switch, it connects the power terminal to the load terminal and to the + side of the led in the switch. the other end of the led is connected to the ground terminal. |
ya a switch would be the equivalent of you cutting the power wire and when you want it to turn on, just touch the two sides together. its just a power interrupt so that your fogs dont get constant power and stay on all the time. |
