http://www.7thgencivic.com/forums/at...id=38641&stc=1
With just Ring on
http://www.7thgencivic.com/forums/at...id=38642&stc=1
with Ring on, lowbeam on
http://www.7thgencivic.com/forums/at...id=38643&stc=1
with Ring off, lowbeam on
http://www.7thgencivic.com/forums/at...id=38644&stc=1

so here's a DIY
I used four of this Roung Cold Cathode Fan neon lights by Sunbeamtech all had diameter of 80mm and you can find it in the computer store
since computer parts and our car uses same 12v there wont be any problems with converting voltages this kit includes a fan(not needed), neon, switch(not needed) wires, and inverter
I used four of this neons
http://www.7thgencivic.com/forums/at...id=38622&stc=1
first take your bumper off and so as your headlight
http://www.7thgencivic.com/forums/at...id=38623&stc=1
take your headlight apart and you will have this part on your hand
http://www.7thgencivic.com/forums/at...chmentid=38624
screw off the original LED angel light
http://www.7thgencivic.com/forums/at...id=38625&stc=1
drill a small holes into red dots
http://www.7thgencivic.com/forums/at...id=38632&stc=1
cut off four edges of plastic cover to make it round
http://www.7thgencivic.com/forums/at...id=38627&stc=1
put the neon ring on, get the wiring out to the back and hold the ring with wires
http://www.7thgencivic.com/forums/at...id=38628&stc=1
http://www.7thgencivic.com/forums/at...id=38629&stc=1

now you are done with the lowbeam light now for the high beam light,
drill two holes on highbeam/daylight which will be used to hold the rings
http://www.7thgencivic.com/forums/at...id=38630&stc=1
put the neon rings without the plastic cover
http://www.7thgencivic.com/forums/at...id=38631&stc=1
put back the headlights, seal it and connect it to the inverter
http://www.7thgencivic.com/forums/at...id=38633&stc=1
http://www.7thgencivic.com/forums/at...id=38634&stc=1
do the wiring and you are ready to rock

ImPulse 09-22-2004 09:30 PM

awesome! I will Sticky this.

I wonder if the rings will melt? or "pop" ?

What are they made out of?

abmerop18 09-22-2004 09:38 PM

thats looks great! angel eyes almost look like a BMW. your are probally gonna have trouble with the poo-poos though =/

ImPulse 09-22-2004 09:49 PM

so how do you turn them on and off?

exclusive_vtec 09-22-2004 10:01 PM

nice D.I.Y

skiboard 09-22-2004 10:23 PM

I wired it to sidelights so it will turn on when I turn the sidelights on and I also have a switch connected so I can turn em on and off while driving
hmm no one tired this so I donno how long it will last.. I will let you know if it breaks :D

armieo 09-22-2004 11:17 PM

I had case fans in my fog light holes for a long time and they lasted LONG... plus they were continually getting doused by rain.

isuzu5000 09-23-2004 12:37 AM

what kinda bulbs did you use for the actual headlight? they look hella blue

armieo 09-23-2004 07:52 AM

Nice... I'd rock those in red. I was thinking about doing that a long time ago but I was way way too lazy to open up my headlights again.

Ricer! haha.

IrockCivics 09-23-2004 03:07 PM

very nice man.

IrockCivics 09-23-2004 03:54 PM

how did you put the light apart? also whats a inverter?

skiboard 09-23-2004 09:48 PM

^^ theres some DIY of taking the head light apart in this site if you search
inverter is a thing that changes low voltage(12v) to high voltage(620v) which will light up the neons. it's included in the kit.

SOHC 09-23-2004 09:50 PM

the inverter came with the pc fans, prolly regulates voltage.

looks awesome, I'm just gonna wait a few months to make sure your rings last before i break into my headlights! thanks for the diy

mexinaction 09-23-2004 10:05 PM

damn dat looks hot, cant wait till they have TYC's for 04's!!!

an inverter changes a dc voltage into (somewhat) an ac voltage...i'm not exactly sure how much a neon takes...but all i know is that it uses high voltage and very little current...same way a night light works...the main point is that in order for it to work a change in voltage is needed...hence alternating the voltage...

Civicly02 09-23-2004 10:19 PM

looks nice

J187 09-28-2004 11:19 AM

I second that ^^^

Rufus 09-28-2004 01:35 PM

Nice I did that with T1 11,000 MCD LEDS and wired another set over the high beams just like you did. The neon is way brighter. The only way we could get it that bright without neon is if we found some way to use fiber optics like BMW's. Looks good!

LowRYda03ex 10-07-2004 03:01 PM

i wish my halo projectors were that bright... :(

darklegacy540 10-24-2004 01:27 AM

That looks really good.. too bad I don't have projectors..
Nice work

AzNmiKex215 11-18-2004 05:01 PM

EDIT******** DIY dual angel eyes completed. pics on page 3******

Thats really good! Any updates on though? Im still wondering if the ring around the lowbeam can hold up to the heat.

skiboard 11-25-2004 08:58 PM

It's Still Good! Cold or Hot
but it seems sometimes it needs about 1~2 seconds of worming up before it's fully bright. hope it gets throught this winter!

ImPulse 12-05-2004 03:42 AM

how are they now? :p

Hefe 12-05-2004 01:53 PM

looks rice.... i mean nice..... :hgrin:

:_bow:

wonderz 12-07-2004 03:31 PM

why are those so expensive tho.? looks good, but for like more than $50 only 2 rings?

ImPulse 12-09-2004 09:47 PM

50$ isnt that much just for 2 rings... I wish i knew someone that could translate the page for me :(
