- I'm an average DIYer, but I like to consider myself a technician. I began doing my own vehicle repairs and maintenance at about 26 years old. I've worked on compact cars mostly, but have done some work on trucks and small SUVs. My cars have been Plymouth Neons, several Saturn S-series, and now this 2005 Honda Civic EX. I've performed anything from oil changes and brakes to timing chains/belts and A/C work. I successfully rebuilt my first engine (in-car rebuild) on a '99 Saturn SL2.
