Didja notice any reduction in power when you used the Dryflow vs. the stock foam on your WR?

I have read that WR isn't that great on OEM-like quality in their installs, like sensors that don't fit into fittings properly or pinching PCV tubes or kludging supports for the main tube (the 7th gen one is actually listed as a Suzuki Forenza one??). But, if they're not obnoxious and actually give me some low and midrange... still on my list.

A Stage 1 is probably the most I'll venture into the guts of this EX, if that. The current one is holding up fine and is giving back 35 - 36 mpg combined now... so not in a hurry to risk that. But it would be nice to be able to not be schooled by Sienna taxis once in a while and still get 30 mpg.

Oh -- here's a good breakdown of how the WR intake works... interesting, and quite a bit cheaper than the FIPK: link. This may be the one I'm looking for.

Oh -- btw... when it comes to foam filters, you do know the easy way to oil them properly with no mess, right? Ziploc bag, or any plastic bag, really.

Apply oil to the foam filter in stripes as evenly as you can... then put it in the bag and moosh it around, spreading it through the element as much as possible. Now you have all the oil distributed through the element, and then a glove (or another plastic bag), will get it out and installed on the filter frame. Done.

Sweet -- well, you have another poster who has the same goals for their 7th-gen. There's no real performance you can get without spending a fortune for tiny gains or getting an Si... so may as well keep mods as conservative and useful as possible.

I may have to look into the WR intake after reading that thread... reeeeally don't like K&N's "marketing" on their filters... but the intake is surprisingly well-liked. Gonna be a close race.

Hey Poopies -- what about your Weapon R SRI convinced you to get one? Is it working well for you? I'm not finding a whole lot of options re: another type of filter than K&N's (not fond of the red oil from the gauze all over inside my intake path), nor a larger, less-restrictive K&N if that's not possible. I think the only other one I'm considering is a AEM but I hear they're quite obnoxious...

Funds are a little slim now (a bit better since I found the EX doesn't [yet] drink coolant), but the retrofit is definitely on the burner -- I'll hit you up for tips once I gather all my parts together. I have installed remote car starter in my 2005 honda civic with the automatic transmission, remote starter is viper 875xv with xpress kit pkh34, car starts with remote starter when key is in cylinder, otherwise it only cranks, I am sure it is something to do with bypass module, any ones help will be much appreciated.

Also, thank you for welcoming me to this whole new world of tuner joy I posted I few more questions on that thread, if you have anymore advice and input on intake and exhaust I would really appreciate it. Because right now I'm just looking at buying some random performance parts on eBay and hoping they all mate up well.
