Description:

For sale. Ultra light flywheel and clutch. These are two separate items. Can be bought separately or together.

One unused Ultra lightweight flywheel 2-800-STU. $150.00. Currently listed on Carid.com for $338.18. https://www.carid.com/competition-cl...2-800-stu.html .

Also one Clutch Masters® 08037-HR0F - FX250 Clutch Kit. $175.00. This was also purchased from Carid for $459.48. These items are in their boxes and were purchased in 2018. The Carid guy said they were compatible with my 2009 SI. My mechanic installed them but said that the clutch would not disengage from the flywheel. They were never used. They do not appear to be defective in any way. You can do your own research to see if they are compatible with your car, or if you have the knowledge to install them correctly. Carid would not accept them as a return since they were installed. I don't know if my mechanic was correct or carid. Please do your own research. I gave up on making any modifications to my SI after that experience. Out parts, shipping, labor, and rental car fees. The housing for the clutch has obvious scuff marks from the bolts and from being installed and removed.

FYI Clutch Masters' website says that clutch doesn't fit the '09 Civic Si, only the CSX Type S. They also say they don't have any clutches that fit the '09 Civic Si so who knows.

Thanks for the info. I tried to resolve this in 2018. Back then I was told it was compatible and they stood by the claim. As you can see from the screenshot from their website, it shows it for a 2009 civic. Perhaps the flywheel is the correct one then. It was a costly mistake for me to use them. Perhaps it ended up being better for me since I was planning on doing other upgrades after the flywheel and clutch. I probably would have ended up spending too much money having stuff installed.

Re: Ultralight flywheel and Cclutch

I'm sorry that happened to you, I'm kind of surprised they would take a refund. I might also suggest listing it on K20a.org. That forum is specific to the K series engine so more likely someone there could use it. Good luck with the sale!
