can someone post a pic of a 16" wheel with 205/40/16 tires
The wheels I want to get come with these tires. I really know nothing when it comes to tires. I really dont want low pros cuz I gotta drive on some shitty roads, and I dont want high profile tires cuz theyre bunk. Im looking for a mid profile tire, but from what Ive gathered from reading other tire posts, is that 205/40/16 tires are low pro's. Once again though, Im a tire n00b, so I could be completely wrong.
Also, has anybody bought wheels off of cbwheels.com If so, what was the quality of service?
Thanks a lot, any help would be appreciated.

No way... 205/40/16 is WAY too skinny. It'll look like **** because overall in diameter it's a very small tire, you'll have HUGE fender gaps. By huge, I mean the tire is 1" smaller in diameter vs. a 205/40/17, and they'll give you bad fender gap. Not to mention the 7.5% speedometer error. If you want 16's, then go with 205/50/16. If you want low profile tires, then get 17, 18, or 19" rims.
I have 205/50/r16 check my pics under member's rides. Go with 50 series, kinda low, but good as a daily driver!

Good job. I dont know if you have made up your mind already, but did you look at 17's? If your worried about potholes and stuff, go with a 215/45/17 tire like I did. Still rides great, handles better, and looks nice.
Good luck with whatever you do though.

You will be happy with the 205/50-16's -- My first set of tires a few years ago were 195/50-16's and they made me have to put a pretty good drop on my car to get rid of the gap. (There is still one pic in my member's ride section)
Congratulations & good luck with your new stuff

Hey, I was wondering if I could get your guys opinion on somethng.
I like my Civic, like...a LOT, but I want to keep the warranty for a few years. Therefore, if I do ANYTHING to the engine beside change the oil, the warranty will be void (this sucks when you buy extended warranty...IDIOT). So i'm just gonna do some cosmetic mods, like rims, a stereo, maybe even lower it a bit.
I KNOW it's not gonna be fast, but there's nothing to do about it.
NOW, the QUESTION is that I'm wondering what I should do with the rims. I mean, I live in a very hot in summer, very COLD and snowy in winter city. (Anyone from Winnipeg, Manitoba can vouch for that) And I was wondering if I should get 18's without lowering the car at all. First of all, will that look bad? I really have no clue, i'm new to this car modding stuff. Second of all, if I DO lower it, will the bumpy roads in Winnipeg take their toll on my baby?
I suppose many of these things depend on how far I lower the car, but I just figured I'd swing it by you guys first to see what you think.
Any help you could give me I would appreciate, thanks.
Oh yeah, how much does it cost to lower a car?
