It should fit for 01-03 Civics. What do you mean it's off 1/2 inch? Is it 1/2 high or low? Or is it 1/2 inch more towards the front or back of the car?

I have an 03 with the Aero sides, but the year shouldn't matter.

If you're talking about the horizontal alignment, then to my knowledge it's supposed to be off, but not by much (1/2" sounds about right). But if you're talking about vertical alignment, then just take off the metal 3M tape clips and move them up a little more.

i guess its kinda hard to explain. its 1/2 inch off horizontally. meaning that its doesnt wrap around - doesnt fit side to side. its almost like you have to stretch it out, but it'll break. is it alittle more understanding? and you followed the instructions? i've done numerous searches and none about this problem that i am having. sorry to bother you

Are you talking about underneath the car? Where the four clip/bolts go? Yah, I pretty much just followed the instructions. Don't worry, it's not a bother.

Ok, I think I know what you're talking about now. I ran into a similar issue... If you're referring to the front part it will still be off by a little bit (the back too). I just pulled hard to make sure there was no gap in the very front (in wheel well area, the part where you have a screw at the top and one on bottom w/ the bracket) and the the back/end of the aero side was flush with the rear wheel well/fender area. FYI, there will still be a slight gap (about or less than 1/4" on both) between your door outlines in the front and rear, but the aero side should line up with the wheel wells (just pull hard from the front). Here's a pic of where things should be flush and where slight gaps will be...

Hope this helps you, just PM me if you need more info/help.

Oh now I get it, sorry about the previous post. Anyways, this happened to me when I put the metal clips too high, causing a slight gap between the aero side and body of the car when looking down on it. I just moved the metal clips down further and slightly more towards the middle of car, along the bottom just underneath the car (if you're looking at the door of the car). Hope this helps, sorry I got confused on what you were trying to say.

NorrinRadd, I had the same problem about putting the clips too high causing a gap between the kit and the door. It's about a 1/4" gap. I just left it. I was going to move it down further, but it was very hard to take off. Leaving the small gap wouldn't cause a problem, right? I did the other side right though.

Do you think I'll still be able to fix that problem? Or should I just leave it? I figure if I go ahead and fix it, I'd have to buy new metal clips (for the driver side only) so it'll stick better.

I was lucky and used my previous OEM side metal clips as a test fit and then used my new Aero side clips for final fitting. If I were you and the gap isn't too much of an eye sore just stick with it because just taking off my old metal clips was a b!@cth. Then again if it is an eye sore you could pick up some 3M auto super attach tape from their website or your local hardware store. If you do pick up the 3M tape don't get the one that's white, get the green one like what's on our metal clips as it is much stronger.

Thanks! I think I'll just leave it the way it is. The gap is only an 1/8 of an inch and you can only see it from above.

No problem... Just an FYI though, no matter how small the gap or how flush, water and dirt will always get through over time. My old OEM sides had no gaps whatsoever, but the 3M tape was already eating away after only a year. Wasn't too bad though, since a lot of the tape was still left and still very strong. Like I said a major b!@cth to take off...
