My rear is odd???

has anyone ever noticed that if you look at your car from the side your trunk (on a coupe) at the back (where the plate goes part) sticks out about 1/2" from the sides? I am just wondering if this is normal b/c I have had trunk issues in the past (not shutting)
Am I Normal????

hmm mine looks fine i think...and i never had troubles shutting it, i hope you figure out whats going on with it

Mine looks okay to me. Yah, I'd take it back to the dealer to look at. 1/2" is a little too much, if you think about it.

I have the same thing on my trunk. I have noticed it before, but thought nothing of it.

cool, i was going to ask that same thing, because i noticed it after i got rear ended, and i thought it was caused because of the accident.

RScivic: the problem might be that where you are living is snowing; especially freezing rain. my trunk got a gap too after a freezing rain evening. so try not to open your trunk during a really cold day with freezing rain
