It's good to see that now three companies feel there is a market for forced induction on our vehicles. It can't be too much longer before the "big dogs" produce a kit just for the sake of market relevance.

That manifold is designed better than some of the others I've seen. The Tial wastegate is right smack in the middle where all of the exhaust gases merge. That's a good thing. The individual pieces are cut for thermal expansion. Another good thing. Can't go wrong with stainless either for lower thermal conductivity. TIG welded too. Very nice. The only drawback is that it's log-style, but our engine compartments are so cramped that it's difficult to produce something larger.

my question is how would the vortech fmu benefit us as far as fuel managment when our system are returnless. would we need that along with other modifications.

I think this is good. More options for turbo kits... even if none of the big names want to serve us. I'm guessing that for show purposes, polish is necessary... it looks kinda bad without it.

that has got to be one of the ugliest manifolds i have ever seen in my life. If i gave a monkey a plasme cutter and am oxy-acetelene torch it would produce nicer things than that.

It's pretty nice, even comes with the intake manifold... but it's for a D16, not a D17

WTF all these no name companies want to get noticed produce something worth buying and installing. IMO the SF kit is the only one that looks worth installing and showing off. If i got the other two kits i would be afraid to pop the hood and let everyone see

wtf is that supposed to mean?

Anyways, I've emailed them twice, so far with no response about their kits. What the hell is the deal with companies - don't they care that people are interested about their products?

well SF's kit has a better runner. It looks like its one of those 4-1 equal length runners which promotes better airflow than a log style and it looks better too...
the manifold makes a difference and SF has the best one in a kit.

Glad to see a complete turbo kit for the D17, why care what it looks like? Your wasting 3 grand if all you care about is what people say when you pop your hood.

it's not always about looks... i agree.. but i would rather have a nice looking turbo kit.. something that looks clean rather than something that was put together in an hour...

Agreed. I want the power, but I also want something that I can show and be proud of. The shop doing my work is the same way. They won't cut any corners on anything: 1. Because they want to make it quality 2. They don't want you to open the hood and show people and have their name on something that looks like ****.

Well, it says 01+ Civics....SI didnt come out til 02...and what I think they are basically saying is on the stock motor, you can expect 200hp and on a built motor which you can run a higher boost on, you can get 275+hp.

You dont have to test all 3 kits. If you know which design is best, all you have to do is look. All 3 designs have been around for years, and the 4-1 tube header has proven itself the best many times. The only one that beats it out is the 4-1 equal length header. But there isnt any kits that have that. (turbo performance doesnt count, because its crap)

when you say turbo performance, you mean turbo discounters I believe...but once again, we are jumping to conclusions...

I give advice on facts, not on opinions and guesses.
