How can I open my TYC tails to paint them?

How can I open my TYC tails to paint them? Any ideas? I've tried hair dryer... heated it until it was almost too hot to hold... didn't even soften the glue. GooGone doesn't touch it either. I'm gonna be stuck with black tails on a silver car if I can't figure this out...
oven????????? im thinking of taking mine apart as well people say oven or heat gun, i think someone put theres in a tub of hot water? i dunno im doing mine in a week or so ill have to figure it out then
