TSX into a civic
i was wondering, since every suspention part on a RSX is the same, what if i found a TSX, could i just do the same thing i would do if i had a rsx. could i just replace everything including the engine and suspention?

with the right amount of money im sure you could. As far as the suspension i wouldnt understnad why but the engine is the same size as the K20A2 , the seats etc could all be done with the right know how and cash flow

Well, you're dealing with a different base... its not a Civic/RSX frame... so it could get ugly. I doubt the suspension geometry is identical and the subframes may not match up either. I'd be careful about doing it until you're absolutely sure everything works.

With the TSX being a japanese accord, and smaller than the american accord, and not being on the RSX/Civic frame either...seems more trouble than it's worth.
To me, it's like the RSX engine swap question. If I spend $4000 on a motor swap, and the price difference between my civic and an rsx is $4000, shouldn't I just trade for the RSX? I realize that an RSX motor in a civic would be more desirable for some people. But I would also take into consideration that it probably won't add any value to the car, unless you're selling it to someone willing to pay more. Trade-in value would probably not change or even be less with a different motor in there. I doubt a dealer would look positively on a motor swap, mainly because they'd have to warranty it to whomever buys it from them.
A motor swap is awesome, but you'll have to live with the consequences later.

well it uses the same K20 engine, and apparently it is the same size to the k20, and since there are some people in the rsx fourms who have thought about this swap, im just wondering
of course this is a what if situation, because i just might find a tsx in a junk yard some where

Hrmm..after looking at the specs,
the TSX has a 2.4litre with different bore and stroke, 200hp@6800rpm, torque is 166 @ 4500 RPM, 800rpm lower redline, 3 less MPG.
RSX has 2.0litre, 200 @ 7400 RPM, less torque 142 @ 6000 RPM.
I doubt you could really say this is the same motor. It may use the same block, but there's so many differences, it would be a difficult swap.
