Do you guys think my HONDA dealer should aim my headlights for me? I want them aimed and set for the factory setting. I figured it would be best if they did it themselves and me not sweat my ***** trying to figure it out.

Will it be an arm and leg service charge though?
Will they void anything on my warantee?

I have switched to "hyper white" bulbs, Sylvania silverstars and piaa extreme whites, for the parking, but stock …un-cleared housing now.

*NOTE: Let's not make this an argument of stock bulbs are brighter than hyper whites.*

i curious to know if maybe Honda will do more than just park it forty feet from a parked car and visually check if it's lined to the liscense plate.

i don't even think u need to aim them if you only switched out the bulbs. now if you took off your headlights to clear them and they look off, then that's another story

I think I called the dealer to see about this 2 years ago when I bought my car. The guy said that our headlights have a auto leveling mechanism in them. I didn't beleive him though

No such thing on our 7th gen. All you do is use a 10mm wrench and turn it to the right to go down and turn it left to go up. That's what I did. Didn't have to mess with the left and right.

Bellz has a spectacular aura aboutBellz has a spectacular aura about
"Park the vehicle 25 feet from a wall on a level surface. Measure the distance between the center of the light and the ground. Place a horizontal mark on the wall at that height.

Visual aim is made with the center of the driving beam hot spot 1.5 inches below the lamp center at 25 feet with the lamp facing straight forward."

...i keep that and other lighting info in my diy (see sig.)

After I cleared my lights, added new bulbs, and put a sub in the trunk, I took it in for reaiming. They charge $40 to do this, and I think they have a machine or aiming device that they use. Just take it in.

I have a picture of it if you want. It's just the oval looking hole on the light itself. It's in a black bracket. Just put a phillips screwdriver in there and turn it. Your lights can only be adjusted up or down. Tonight, go park about 20 feet away from a wall and get out of your car (make sure your lights are on and ppo your hood). Open your hood and you will notice that these holes will sort of glow. Just put in the screwdriver and turn it up or down and make your light pattern so that it is just alittle bit lower than the actual height of your headlights. There is NO need to spend $65 to have the dealer do 1 minute of work with one hand tool for you. It's easy.
