coilover and sleeve..Who's got the best?
I'm getting a new Si in about a month. Was wondering who makes the best coilover and sleeve for my car. I'm also getting rims, tires, exhaust, intake and hopefull a CF hood so I can't afford full coilovers however I do want to lower it and be able to adjust the height. Who makes the best setup?

there are two different type of coilovers..
1) true coilover - comes with both coilover and shock designed to work together. ~$800-1600
2) sleeved coilover - just coilover that goes over your stock shocks. ~$100-300
i personally would never get sleeved coilovers. even the best dont ride too nice.. if your riding on stock shocks i would just stick with lowering springs since they give a better ride...
to answer your question tho, sleeved coilovers, get either skunk2 or ground control and nothing else.
true coilover, teins or b&g.
not 100% if they're out for the SIs tho.

I have skunk2 coilover sleeves on my 02 Si. The ride is perfect! I also have koni yellows...a must for coilovers. They will kill the stock shocks. The isn't bouncy. It's very firm, no wabbling, no swaying, or rolling. It's stiff, yet not an abusive ride.
I think the quality of the GC sleeves sucks IMO. I notice that the spring rubs against the sleeve and the adjuster wearing away the threads on the sleeve, and I've noticed this months after having them on. Strangely enough this has occured only on the rear right sleeve. It's been about 6 months and I don't expect them to last too long beyond a year. Either way, they're not gonna be on my car much longer anyways.
