Question Kamikaze head/Magnaflow catback

Okay, I got my Kamikaze header and complete Magnaflow catback exhaust. I was going tommorow to my friend's house just to bolt everything on, however, I ran into a couple questions. I have a 2k1 LX by the way. Since the Kamikaze header replaces the cat, does the header itself just bolt instantly to the exhaust piping? Cause right now, it's header, cat, then piping. My friend asked if the Kamikaze header would just bolt onto the exhaust piping after the header and COMPLETELY override the cat? IMO, I thought that the header bolts on, (the welded piece on the Kamikaze header acts somewhat of a test pipe and replaces the cat), then just bolts to the rest of your exhaust system? Am i right? Also, to save cash, we're just bolting it on ourselves, you think welding will be neccessary?

ok the kamakazi header should bolt right up to where the old header/cat was then the piping should run down to the bottom of the motor where it should meet the beging of your exaust piping that runs to the back where your magnaflow will connect. The onylthing im not shur of is the connection between your header and exhaust piping . Also you wont have a cat a header eliminates the cat well on the lx it does and i thought you said you had a lx so youll have to get a universal high flow cat 'random technologys' makes a good cat that you will have to get welded in otherwise you wont have a cat

The sole purpose of the Kamikaze header is that it replaces the cat, I don't want to buy another cat to have both of them on there. That's what makes the Kamikaze illegal, no cat. Emissions...blah...I got that in my back pocket.

You said "otherwise, you wont have a cat", yea, I didn't want to buy another cat just for that reason. So I'm good to go, right? Oh yeah, got an O2 Sim too.

yes itll run like that but if you ever get cought
without a cat its like a 1000 dollar ticket so if you put a

Couple choices you could go with. You could go the EX conversion, get an ex header and then just get the high flow cat, (someone correct me if i'm wrong).

If you want it directly for the LX, you could go with the HP header with downpipe or the Kamikaze header (direct for to LX). The HP header, i heard people getting those for a good price shipped from www.nopionline.com, but I got my Kamikaze in like 2 days from this guy named Robert at BigJoshRacing.com. He specializes in Kamikaze products. I got a black coated header (with a midpipe welded on it) plus a CEL (check engine light) eliminator for like 270 shipped. For a few bucks more, you could get chrome or ceramic as well, I just didn't want to wait another 2 weeks for the shipments of chrome/ceramic to come in so I just saved a few bucks and went with the black one. Email him at bigjoshracing@cs.com. Also, both headers can't be bolted on to stock exhaust systems, that's why I had to buy a Magnaflow. You could get custom piping done if you wanted, but just giving you a heads up. I think with the HP you gotta get a front EX sway bar too, run a "DIY Header Install" search in the forums, this guy bill did a DIY on that.

PM or email me if you have any questions. I'll let you know how my install and how everything worked out probably sometime this weekend.
