best gas?

Is it Esso, Shell, Loblaws (lol), or whatever you fill up on? Why is it the best gas?

I usually fill up at Esso because of the cute tim-horton's girl that gives me a oh-so-sweet smile everytime i ask for a medium doubledouble ... and oh, the esso points!

barely go to petro-can now... hmmmmm what to redeem with 7000points...

Yeah, I read that if you put a higher octane in a Civic, it's wasting money you don't have to. I dunno, it's just what I read. :P

Knowing me when I get my car, I will fill it with the lowest octane since that's the one Honda reccomends.

I don't know but when I have a 94 octane gas in my car, I feel some difference in the way the car runs. Definitely picks up better than Esso gas..

Ultra 94 @ Sunoco is the cleanest gas. Gas is not gas, because every brand has their own addictives, Sunoco uses Ethanol while Petro Canada uses Tartor Control?? Anyways the higher the octane means the less it will predetonate, but Civics / CR-Vs arent too concerned due to the low compression ratios, but when the gas detonates, its a clean burn, minimal leftovers as oppose to regular gas. I've heard it reduces carbon buildup which means maintain power and gas efficiency. Theoritically 94 octane would be cleaner for the engine than 87. Waste of money? Drink less coffee and theres your cost... its only a few bucks more, like $4 per full tank and well suppose you fill up weekly, than you save $144, in 10 years, thats $1440 but than when you fail emissions than thats

i just want the racing gas like 110 octane or soemthing but that's only available on track and it's so damn expensive
but that guarantee will have a big difference compare to 87

this may sound weird, but of all the different gas i've gone through, I find that Canadian Tire gas lasts the longest. I don't know what it is....

Yeah, how is Canadian Tire gas? I always wanted to try it since you get so many Canadian Tire dollars.

I've always stuck with ESSO, and sunoco sometimes (when i feel like mixing 94 octane and octane booster when I used to race). Esso is the only gas that doesn't have additives which is good.

ESSO = dirty for environment... but my car doesn't emit a lot of pollutants to begin with, so i don't really care.

btw, Sunoco is the only gas station with a decent customer loyalty programme. esso extra and others alike don't really do anything, but free CAA membership is easily attainable if you fill up at Sunoco regularly. handy for ppl driving older cars...

for those ppl who knock others for filling up with cheap gas, it gets expensive filling up gas! you say it's only $4-5 difference, but if you fill up twice a week, i aint gonna pay extra for gas as long as my car moves...

Esso are known to be the gas station with one of the highest amount of sulphur contained. This causes respiratory problems which we are already suffering with. Ethanol is a pretty good addictive because it burns cleaner, thus thats why Sunoco offers 94 because of 10% Ethanol.

Check out http://www.aaacwj.com/automotive/carcare/tip.asp?ID=33

I fill up with whatever is cheapest, always regular.
I'd say it's 70% Esso, 25% Sunoco, 5% Pioneer

Yup ESSO does have the dirtiest plants, is always getting into trouble with enviromental laws, but then I get pretty good performance with the gas. Well it's kind of like people who remove their cat for that extra bit of performance, but using ESSO gas isn't illegal, it still passes emmissions
