Saw a funny thing on Ebay (and some other ramblings;-)...
I have been trying to figure a new set-up for my trunk because I just don't like how it is now ( I have no trunk space, and my set-up just doesn't look right)...I am am even considering going down to 2 or 3 subs (maybe ported), but it is so hard to find a box big enough for a Shiva. So I have been looking on E-bay for ideas, and maybe a box to buy...but I can't find anything...and I don't want to have everyone say "Build your own box," because I don't have anywhere to build because I live in an apt building.
So if anyone has any box suggestions on where to buy a box for cheap let me know. I perfer to go online because everytime I go into a local shop and ask about my subs they try and tell me my subs aren't the greatest and that I should get JL in one of their custom enclosures.
Anywayz, for someone who is looking to put 15"s in their ride, I thought this was kinda interesting: Civic Box

fonto, i know this isnt the answer you are looking for, but i lived in an apartment for a full year, so i know how hard it is to work! but it CAN be done....

anyways, whatever it takes, i reccommend you find a way to do MINOR work, check out my idea.
its not building a box, its building a baffle. all you need is 2 cinder blocks and a jigsaw, cut a piece of .75 mdf into the trunk/cabin boundary, and run 3 shiva freeair.
should run rather well
and if not, same idea, sell yoru shiva and get 2 idmax. i KNOW those love freeair.
and you get back ALL yrou trunk space, loose only your trunk/cabin boundary, and you still have big sound

Very good ideas...I was thinking about running two IDmax because they could actually do well in 1.4 cube boxes according to their specifications...and that way I would need only one box, and I already have two 1.4 cube boxes. I just need to take the time and figure out exactly I want to do,, because at some point I would like to have a lil bit of trunk space.
Also, what is that white stuff on your car?

the white stuff is proof you can work on yrou car, even over the span of a week, even in an apartment parking lot. I lived in that apartment building for a year, but I didnt let it stop me from working on my car!
(hint hint, the "white" stuff is aluminum foil ;D )

I actually have worked on everything on my car in the car port...I should rephrase what I said, it is more about building a box and finding a place to saw in a small 4 unit complex...I have already had one call the cops on me for making to much noise!!!
edit: ...and I have know idea what the foil is for
