Unhappy I popped something...

I was driving over a speed bump slowly and something popped very loudly in the front. I thought it was just the shock at first but I think i would have known if i blew a strut or not. Could it just have been my tire rubbing on the suspension? I am dropped with goldlines and have thick-*** 225/40/18 tires. I never rubbed before so i don't know what it sounds or is like?
