Anyone with neuspeed sports.

Appearently I have lowered my coupe with Neuspeed sport sedan springs. I've been told to cut one dead coil off of the back springs. I am almost convinced to do so, but i'm worried that the front will be higher than the back after I do it. Does anyone have pictures of a car that has had one coil cut from the rear neuspeed sport springs? or does anyone know how much the ride hieght is affected by doing this. Thanks for any help.

if I was you, I'd go with Neuspeed Race. It looks just perfect for coupes. But most likely, if you do cut off one coil, it will even out. I can't say for sure since I haven't done it, but I do have Neuspeed Sports. It took about 6 months for mine to fully settle in.

The problem I have is that I have the sedan springs on a coupe. I've
been told that when neuspeed sports first came out the made them the same for the coupe and sedan. The *** end of my car is too high. I don't think coupes have the weight in the back to settle these springs like a sedan would. Plus I'm trying to get my car right with minimal funds. Just can't afford new springs right now. Nice car by the way.

DXPOWER, i know several people that have the same problem as you and got stuck with the sedan springs for a coupe. One of them ended up cutting 1 dead coil in the rear and it came out perfect. Just make sure u dont cut more than 1 coil or else the front will be higher than the rear. he said it rides fine.

yup i was one of those people..
called up neuspeed and they said they would replace it for free. i went to their headquarters and the got rears "replaced". i'm almost sure they just cut a dead coil. there is nothing wrong with it. the coils are only there to help keep the springs aligned when you jack up the car. i had like 3 finger gap in the rear with the sedan springs, now i only have 1.

i had the same problem, just cut one coil, you will be fine. the rear evens out with front when you do this.

once again its a DEAD COIL, something you dont NEED. has no effect what so ever on spring rate so the ride will still stay the same. well other then the fact that your putting slightly more stress on your shocks since the car is lower.
