Does Type-R strut bar fit on EX without modification?
Ebay got a whole bunch of these Type-R front strut bar for Civics. Would I need to drill a new hole for the steering fluid bracket on the EX model?

I don't believe you will have to move anything with the straight bars, but you will not be able to have a CAI or maybe even some SRIs. The straight bars usually don't allow for it.

If you look under your hood, the steering fluid container is sitting right up next to the air box, which is in the way. Is type-R front strut bar sitting higher than that?
you should be okay....the ebay Type R Front Upper Strut Bar
will fit fine with injen sri or any intake that doesn't bend up.
for some odd reason....Slikor (2k1 EX EBP) has a huge clutch resevoir
but if yours is normal size it will fit fine

I just bought the Type-R strut bar from Chinatown like last week. And I don't think its the steering fluid, its the clutch reservoir (or at least for the manual). It fits perfectly.
Heres what you do. Look and you see the bracket thats holding the clutch reservoir. Look in there and find the bolt thats holding in the bracket to the chassis of the car. You'll see two, one on top of the other. What I did is, unscrew the top one which holds the bracket in. Then I unscrewed the lower one and attatched the bracket to the lower one (hence lowereing the clutch reservoir so the strut bar wont hit it). Screw it back into the chassis and voila!!!
By the way, that Type-R strut bar works friggin good!!! I didn't even expect anything from it. I do turns and corners faster and much more easily now, and it seems like I have less understeer. Its no name brand, but it does the job.

yeah probably. I personally did NOT have to relocate my clutch reservoir for my neuspeed bar. I just wiggled it until it fit with the bar. It really isn't a big deal tho. You should be able to do it no problems.

well there are 2 reservoirs the clutch reservoir, if u have a 5spd, and the brake master cylinder, basically i unbolted the clutch reservoir and bolted it to a lower spot without any extra parts or modifications
but i belive the type r bars u need to drill holes in the chassis
