Crap Crap Crap! my seat is rocking

I thought that after 16,000 miles and after a year and a half that I had beat the seat rocking issue on my 02, but no. Man this sucks, whats up with Hondas seats anyway? Not looking forward to taking my car to the dealer. I had to vent, I feel better now.............

I think there's a TSB to the "rocking seat" issue. Look around this section...

Bah, this is so common it is ridiculous, I let my seat go until the thing rocked about 5 degrees they just fixed it - they do it under waranty, I agree it is a bit disturbing if you have SAB.

They rock because there of poor design or just bad assembly or both.

my seats rock too .......and I was planning on getting my seats reuppolstered in black leather. But, now that they rock all the time I dont want to put money into seats that bug the ish out of me. So, I have decided to get some race seats for the front two, and get black leather for the rear and door panels

I have just over 15k and mine has been rocking for 3-4 months. I am starting to not notice it. I just don't feel like taking it to the dealership.

I am due for an oil change in a week or two and just might have them fix it then..

nope just the ex from last i heard, its the height adjustment mechanism in the ex that causes the rocking.

i also have the rocking seat and i went to the dealer 3x about it and they told me that it was the seat track.. so with reading everyone's post it seems there is no point to fix it & deal with it... it sucks but going to the dealer on a constant basis is not fun...

I've got a 2003 Civic LX and have the same problem....oh man, I went to the dealer and they told me we'll replace the tracks that should fix it. Well one month later and the seat is still rocking. Now the dealer is suggesting change the rocker...guest what...the rocker is back ordered, I've been waiting for about 3 weeks now seems that might be fix since it's been back orderd part.

I going to try to squeeze them for a new chair.

Just got mine back today. They fixed the rocking seat w/o any questions. The receipt says "perform bushing update."

It feels solid again.

Finally some positive feedback from going to the dealer, thanks for the "Bushings Update" info. I'll make sure the dealer knows this.

just an update on my rocking chair 03 civic LX (Canadian) EX in the US

The dealer called me after the parts were back order for about a month finally came in. The rep I spoke to told me they are installing the new rev. track and railing system for the seats.

I will update

I've given up on mine. Had the bushing changed once already, lasted about a month before the rocking came back. Went back to dealer and they say it's normal, B.S.
