There arent any "cheap" floor jacks to lift the car to maximum height in a few pumps lol... those would cost around 200.

Anyways get this one, its a pretty good deal

Team Mecanix Garage In a Box
Product# 0999699
Price $69.99

Garage In a Box includes 2 jack stands, 1 floor jack and 1 creeper
Two 2- ton jack stands offer 10 height settings from 10 to 16"
Jack stands feature ratchet-style locks to prevent slipping
2-ton floor jack is portable, easy to use and has a lift range of 5 to 13"
36" creeper has four 2" easy-rolling wheels, a tubular steel frame and a heavy-duty vinyl pad for comfort
Jack stands, floor jack and creeper meet ANSI requirements
Creeper and jack stands require some assembly
Model No. 410712

I remember seeing at Costco there are "better" quality jack and jackstands for like $80.

May I ask what you are using it for? Please don't buy and refund man, that just ruins business, even though I do it sometimes (hardly) . These can last you a long time, just remember to get a HYDRAULIC FLOOR jack and 2 jack stands, creeper are optionals but than you don't like to get on the floor and be dirty lol. Do your own oil changes, good experience and you treat the car good.

hahaha...i want to look under the car and check out my heat shield and really confirm they replaced it and the screws...

cuz for this "black thingy" incident, if they saw it was loose, they should have secured it...so gonna see if anything is hanging...

also check for rust under the car cuz if i have it on my trunk, then maybe it'd be elsewhere...*shrug*

Check weld points, I've heard 99 Civics already having rust on some weld points.

What will you be using it for btw (I don't have one)

I want to get one too *the one from Canadian Tire for 70$ for the Jack, Stands, and Creeper*

Who follows the RECOMMENDED HONDA MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE? Every 8000KM, I think that is too long, the oil will lose its properties and well... wont work. When it gets warmer...

8000KM - Oil Change @ Dealer
1200KM - Oil Change @ Home
1600KM - Oil Change @ Dealer
2000KM - Oil Change @ Home
2400KM - Oil Change @ Dealer

A good way to not mess up your maintenance schedule.

i have a jack u can borrow but u have to come get it from my house
and the 5W20 oil is semi synthetic from the dealer so it could be use up to 8000km
if u follow AzimuthX's maintanence schedule it would cost so much more unless he put cheap **** oil at home oil change
cuz u are paying $35 taxes in for oil change at teh dealer.
it would cost u min $20-25 for oil nad filter and u only use it for 4000km

dude, it's a civic, i'm almost at 20k and i've only done 2 oil changes. 8000 per change is good enough for d17.

Well it depends...

case of oem 12 filters
7$/each including tax

oil
around 5$

Changing oil frequently is the best "insurance" for your car. What different are the 7th Gen Civics and the 2nd Gen CR-V from previous generation that require 5000 KM interval oil maintenance. Nothing really, except for probably the direct electronic injection

BTW: North Markham Honda is a fricken ripoff... 50$ taxes in for a Type A.

Isn't it kind of early for a transmission oil change? Just don't get Motormaster ATF
