Koni Customer Service and Warranty Service?

Okay guys, well my friends and I were putting my Koni's on the rear, and as we were compressing the spring, the little metal thing that holds the perch up just broke. Those with Koni's know what I'm talking about, its this little mini ring that is suppose to support 1,000 pounds. Well I took it over to my shop and they told me to call Koni and have it sent over there. The thing is, we are not authorized Koni installers obviously. This might not go well with the lifetime warranty they offer. Well about 3 months ago I had 1 koni professionally installed with stock springs from a shop. If they ask who installed it who should I say did it? Should I say the shop? I assume it'll be suicide to say I did it.

This should be a no brainer.. just say the shop did if its okay with the shop owner. That little ring clip is the reason I wont buy Koni's. I have however heard of peeps welding the clip to the strut for extra safety...

So ur saying the clip broke in half or it came off. Cus you can take it off and put it back on. Or just ask for another clip thingy.

Does anyone know how to use the clip for the upper perch setup? I never quite figured out how to make use of the other 2 perch settings
