Cheap Paint?

hey everybody i got a question... i've always really wanted a new car in black because well, i just think they look really good. the only thing is, black shows every imperfection such as scratches, chips, or dirt. i've reaad a couple threads that said that honda paint isn't the greatest, is this really true? should i get a lighter color? silver perhaps? thanks.

My NPB Civic, '02, shows everything! It has soo many chips and **** on it, I do mostly highway driving but still, thee should never be that many scratches and chips after only a year. I think that the paint is **** personally, but I also think that nothing looks better than a clean black car and nobody can tell if they are not right next to it...I only noticed all the **** when I was washing it lately. Hope this helped!

NO, honda's paint is not crappy and never has been. You own a BLACK car. You will see all the imperfections. They're on every car, you just can't see them like you can on black.

Next time you are in a parking lot, walk up to a clean black car and inspect it like you do your own....It will look just like yours.....

Black is great when it is clean and viewed from a distance. However, it sucks the big one in how quick it gets dirty and how every frikken imperfection shows up.

Yes, the most popular car color in the world is one of the best for masking imperfections and looking clean longer. Silver is the #1 color is case you didn't know. I think black is #3.

I've had my 02 Black for a year and a half, I wash it once a week and wax it once a month. I love the way it looks and yes Black does show chips etc. but I think it looks so much better than any other color.

yeah being a perfectionist always makes everything so hard... but not as hard as seeing it not perfect.
